The invention concerns a system, wherein the door casing does not comprise casing slide rails and at least one of the guide members of the sliding pane (3) comprises either a part (4a-4b) of the slide (4) of the pane frame, which is integral with said slide and extends it inside the door casing (2), or a part of said pane frame slide, arranged in its extension, but separate therefrom, said slide part (4a-4b) being mounted in either case in standard fashion on the corresponding edge of the pane.

The invention concerns a device for operating a movable covering element (10) arranged for guided displacement movements along opposite side edges between open and closed positions while being driven by a drive means (15) arranged in a space adjoining the covering element path of movement. In accordance with the invention the drive means is formed by a drive belt (13) which is arranged to travel about spaced apart deflecting members and which is connected with the covering element at spaced-apart attachment places in such a manner as to produce the covering element movements by advancing one run of the drive belt in a direction away from or towards the respective deflecting member.

The present invention relates to a window-winding arrangement (1) as well as a motor vehicle door containing this window-winding arrangement. The window-winding arrangement contains a drive means (5) as well as a guide means for the drive and for guiding a pane (2) belonging to the window-winding arrangement. The drive means and guide means is designed in a manner such that the drive force for movement is applied onto the pane such that this (4.1; 4.2) independently of its movement direction is always pressed against a certain guide edge (6c) of the guide means. With this it is rendered possible on manufacture of the window-winding arrangement to envisage greater tolerances as well as to do away with the costintensive installation of additional guide rails in the door inner space. Furthermore one achieves a reduction in friction as well as a reduction in weight.

It comprises guiding and sliding means (7,8) for the window pane (4) and driving means (5) for the window pane mounted in the motor vehicle lock (3) which include an electric motor and a gearmotor assembly acting on a single driving cable (6). These guiding and sliding means for the window pane comprise respective rails (7,8) positively mounted on opposed edges of the inner panel (9) of the motor vehicle door. Only two pulleys (10) are mounted for a driving cable, which are positively fixed to the inner panel of the door through their own shaft. The assembly is greatly simplified since the conventional rail is removed and the number of pulleys is reduced. Friction and noise are reduced in use.

A simple lift rail-less window lifter (I) is provided in which a member (3) linking a window glass (2) and a cable (5) is positioned with respect to the window glass in such a way as to avoid jamming of the window glass while it is being raised. A method for assembling a window lifter is also provided.

A regulating system is described for a motor vehicle window located between longitudinally spaced guides in a vehicle door. The system comprises means (14, 16) for connection to one side of the window for raising and lowering the window (10) within the window guides, and a Bowden cable (22a, 22b) connected in use only to the window (10) and to the vehicle door (12) and serving to move the other side of the window (10) in synchronism with and in response to movement of the first side.

PURPOSE: A door for a vehicle is provided to drive a glass plate along a stable movement locus upward and downward by guiding the glass plate, with front and rear guide rails. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle door(1) comprising a window(5) at an upper side and a panel at a lower side, further comprises a glass plate(10) which is movable upward and downward, and closes the door window when the glass plate rises, and is housed inside the vehicle panel when the glass plate falls, guide rails(7,8) which are arranged at front and rear sides of an upward and downward movement locus(11) of the glass plate and guide the glass plate, and a drive unit which is provided inside the panel of the door and drives the glass plate up and down. At least one supporting bar(50) is provided vertically inside the panel along the upward and downward movement locus of the glass plate at a vehicle inner side of the upward and downward movement locus of the glass plate. A contact member(51) is provided at a lower portion of the glass plate so as to move up and down together with the glass plate while maintaining a gap for preventing contact with the supporting bar. A size of the gap is determined so that the lower portion of the glass plate is prevented from excessively deflecting by contact between the contact member and the supporting bar when the lower portion of the glass plate is about to move excessively in a vehicle inward direction due to inertia at the moment of closing the door.
