    Abstract: A swash plate and an inclined type compressor for a swash plate type compressor is provided to use for a long period of time in a swash plate type compressor using carbon dioxide as a cooling medium by coating the metallic swash plate with materials with abrasive resistance and adhesive property. A swash plate and a swash plate type compressor for an inclined plate type compressor comprises a housing, a rotating shaft, a shoe, and a lubricant coating. The housing is charged with a cooling medium. The rotary shaft passes through the housing. A swash plate(3) is mounted on the rotary shaft in angle, or is mounted on the rotary shaft by coupling members. The shoe is installed between the swash plate and a piston to convert the rotational motion to a reciprocal motion of the piston for alternatively compress and expand the cooling medium within the housing. The swash plate contains metal plate, and on the surface of the metal plates which slides to the shoe is coated with lubricant coating(11). The lubricant coating is made of fluororesin, heat resistant resin, and metallic oxide powder. The lubricant coating contains 100 parts by weight of fluororesin, 100 to 150 parts by weight of heat resistant resin, and 5 to 20 parts by weight of metallic oxide powder. The metallic oxide powder is made from iron oxide powder. A porosity middle layer(10a) is installed between the metal plate and the lubricant coating.
