Abstract:
A flexible, protective and waterproofing membrane for application onto a body to conform to a surface of the body and to be bonded thereto is provided. The membrane includes a flexible polymeric sheet which has an open-textured surface on each of its opposite faces. The textured surfaces are impregnated with a dry, cementitious material and define interconnected internal voids open to the atmosphere. The dry cementitious material includes a water-hardenable cement which is substantially non-hydrated.
Abstract:
A co-polymer composition for coating porous structural material includes a compatible surfactant resulting in a structural inter-bonding between the coating composition and the structural material. The co-polymer composition cured in a layer of unsupported foam has sufficient strength to be used as a substitute for comparably or larger sized layers of re-enforced concrete for conducting fluids while resisting compressive loads. A co-polymer foam composition for coating structural material cures to have an atmosphere-facing surface that is substantially impervious to corrosive substance penetration.
Abstract:
In a pipe coated with a resin layer on the inner surface thereof and a method for manufacturing the same, resin mixture including thermal melting fluoro resin and fluorine elastomer is applied to the inner surface of a pipe member. The resin mixture is thermally treated on the inner surface of the pipe member to be of a mesh like pattern so that a resin layer of a predetermined stripping strength is obtained thereon.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which avoids shortcomings of conventional methods, retains good characteristics of liner techniques used ordinarily, eliminating void spaces and fine void spaces and does not cause such difficulties.SOLUTION: A method of producing a pipe whose inside surface is lined with a thermoplastic layer includes a step a) of preparing a pipe, a step b) of preparing an in-liner composed of a thermoplastic material, a step c) of optionally reducing the cross sectional area of the in-liner by an action of an external force, a step d) of introducing the in-liner into the pipe, a step e) of heating the pipe externally to a temperature higher than the crystal melting point Tof the molding material of the outer-side surface of the in-liner during or after the introduced in-liner's expanding in the radial direction so that the outer-side surface of the in-liner forms an inner contour of the pipe, and a step f) of cooling the in-liner.
Abstract:
A device and method for securing a sleeve (for sacrificial wear and/or electrical isolation) inside a conduit. In one embodiment, the retention device sits adjacent one end of the sleeve and comprises a ring having a protuberance or lip extending parallel to and against the end of the sleeve, thus pressing the end of the sleeve against the inner surface of the conduit. This has the advantage, in situations where fluids are flowing through the conduit, of reducing the risk of fluids moving behind the sleeve and collapsing it inwardly.
Abstract:
A liner having an outer surface coated with a fluid absorbing coating is cladded to a tubing string by inserting the folded liner into the tubing string and then unfolding the liner against the tubing string. The liner may be a long single thin foil corrosion resistant liner coated with a sticky glue and a hygroscopic and/or other fluid absorbing coating to absorb fluid pockets trapped between the tubing and liner and inhibit corrosion and leakage of, the elongate tubing string.
Abstract:
A liner assembly includes a first ring member, a second ring member, a corrosion barrier ring, a first liner, and a second liner. The first ring member includes a body member having a first end and a second end. The first end has a flange extending substantially perpendicularly therefrom. The second ring member includes a body member having a first end and a second end. The second end has a flange extending substantially perpendicularly therefrom. The body member of the first ring member extends along a face of the first liner a first distance beyond an inner diameter of the first liner. The body member of the second ring member extends along a face of the second liner a second distance beyond an inner diameter of the second liner.
