Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method are provided for segmenting an object in image data. For that purpose, a segmentation of the object is obtained, which segmentation includes image elements of the image data which are probable part of the object by a probability value of a respective image element exceeding a probability threshold. More specifically, during operation of the system and method, a first segmentation of the object is obtained using a first probability threshold and a second segmentation of the object is obtained using a second probability threshold. Both segmentations are visualized, which provides a user with a visual indication of how much, and in which way, the segmentation changes depending on the confidence. This way, qualitative feedback on the segmentation is provided to the user, which may increase the trust of the user in the segmentation and facilitate its adoption by the user.
