Abstract:
PURPOSE: A content providing system using a mobile and a method thereof are provided to listen to the sound with the outputted content video. CONSTITUTION: A contents DB(110) stores a plurality of contents. A scheduler(120) controls the reproduction of the stored contents by the reproduction rule. An output unit(130) outputs at least one content image to a screen. A communication unit(160) receives a request information about the selected content video which is selected by the user.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an Internet facsimile communication system that can exclude a defect of receiving FAX communication by a person because an Internet FAX in compliance with the T.38 receives an incoming call for FAX communication independently of a reception mode setting of the FAX. CONSTITUTION: The Internet facsimile communication system comprises an adaptor for connection to an IP network and a G3 FAX, the adaptor changes a form of a call signal to call the G3 FAX between an incoming call for FAX communication and other incoming call so as to inform the G3 FAX about the incoming call for the FAX communication.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A universal facsimile engine is provided to use multi protocols and/or data formats for implementing diverse applications. CONSTITUTION: A user interface(402) implements the communication between a facsimile device and at least one user application(404). A network interface implements the communication with at least one of the networks between the facsimile device and a plurality of communication networks. A controller communicates with a first communication network by a first facsimile protocol in a first mode. The controller communicates with a second communication network by a second facsimile protocol at least in a second mode.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of sending and receiving facsimile communications, comprising: a) providing a local area network comprising a plurality of user personal computer terminals (10) and a printer (48); b) providing a router (14) adapted to connect the local area network to the Internet; c) providing a fax controller connected to the local area network and comprising: i) a fax modem (30) connected to a public telephone line; ii) a scanner (26); iii) a computer (20) programmed with fax telecommunications software provided with an account number and password for an Internet fax service, and scanning and billing software; d) downloading the fax telecommunications software to one of the user terminals; e) preparing a fax communication at the user terminal, including a billing code; f) sending the fax communication through the fax modem (30) if the fax communication is to a local, and through the Internet router (14) to the Internet facsimile service if the fax communication is to a long distance number; g) storing on the fax controller billing information respecting the fax communication, including the billing code, the recipient fax number and the number of pages sent.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a facsimile message via a communication network is described, wherein the facsimile message is at least partly transmitted to the called party using an agreed file transfer protocol. When a negotiating step was not successful, the facsimile message is transmitted using a normal facsimile protocol. Thus, the use of file transfer protocol is allowed as a means for transferring facsimile message data, such that a facsimile transmission via packet-switched networks like the Internet can be provided. With modem types other than those defined especially for facsimile use, the date transfer speed is remarkably higher, such that lower transmission costs can be achieved.
Abstract:
A line control section communicates with a reception side and receives reception-side information on whether or not the reception side has an Internet facsimile function, and on mail address and device holding capacity. A reception-side-information identifying section identifies reception-side information and registers the identified reception-side information in a reception-side-information table. A judging section refers to the reception-side-information table, and instructs an image converting section and an IFAX processing section to transmit image data in conformity with the holding capacity on the reception side. If the reception side has an Internet facsimile function, the IFAX processing section transmits an e-mail containing image data through the Internet. The image converting section converts the image data in conformity with the holding capacity on the reception side.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a data transmission terminal which, through exchange means (110, 120), sets up a communication with a corresponding terminal through the switched telephone network (STN) with transmission from one to the other indicating its accessibility through the INTERNET network, and an access characteristic which can be an INTERNET address, a cryptographic key. The active state of the exchange means is sensed by means (111) activating the means (112) for reading the memory (113). The invention is particularly applicable to telefax.
Abstract:
A Protocol Fax Box (PFB) receives information, determines destinations for the information, and converts the information protocol and data, if necessary, for transmission to the destinations. The PFB has plural interfaces from which it receives and sends data. Upon receiving information on one of its interfaces, the PFB creates a set of objects for handling the transfer of the information from the incoming interface to an outgoing, or destination, interface. A source object handles the incoming communication, a session object handles destination determination, and a destination object handles protocol conversion from the source interface to the destination interface. The session object also logs information regarding each session. The PFB may use a client server model to download information as needed from a network, or have processing be performed on the network.
