PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic imaging system capable of enhancing operation using a removable memory card. SOLUTION: Enhancement files 24b for effecting the operation of the electronic imaging system are preloaded on a removable memory card 24. Several sections A, B of the electronic imaging system are coordinated and controlled by a programmable processor 20, and the programmable processor 20 is capable of storing the enhancement files preloaded on the removable memory card 24. PURPOSE: To obtain a synthesized image without failure and simply, by giving a function to obtain the synthesized image such as a multiplex exposure image to an electronic camera. CONSTITUTION: The 1st video signal from a storage means B or M or pickup means I, and the 2nd video signal from the storage means M or B are synthesized at a synthesis means A, the synthesized video signal thus obtained is picturized at a display means D and stored in the storage means M or B. A scanner image-processing unit includes a scanner-property adjusting unit that converts image data from a scanner unit into normalized image data and a first image processing unit that performs a first image processing on the normalized image data to generate output image data. If a controller image-processing unit that performs a second image processing on the image data from the scanner unit is connected, a configuration control unit disables an operation of the first image processing unit and controls the controller image-processing unit to perform the second image processing on the normalized image data to generate the output image data.

The invention relates to an image processing apparatus which has a coding function of image data and inputs and outputs an image and a method for such an apparatus, and has an object to simultaneously perform coding of the image data in parallel in both a CPU and a coder/decoder. A system bus bridge (SBB) is a multichannel bidirectional bus bridge and provides a mutual connection between a B bus (I/O bus), a G bus (graphic bus), an SC bus (processor bus), and an MC bus (local bus) by using a crossbar switch. The connections of two systems can be simultaneously established by the crossbar switch. A high speed data transfer of high parallel performance can be realized among a CPU core, a CODEC, and a DRAM.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an operation for setting image output conditions in an image forming apparatus (such as a compound machine or a combined machine, for example) for acquiring image data from a document and printing or transmitting the image data. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a document setting part for setting documents, an image input part for obtaining image data from the documents, and an image output part for printing or transmitting the image data. If a piece of image data is control image data with respect to the image data obtained from the documents set to the document setting part by the image input part, the image forming apparatus prints or transmits the other piece of image data by using the image output part according to the image output conditions corresponding to the relevant control image data.
