Abstract:
The support of the image to be analysed is fixed to a transparent cradle (14) shaped as a cylinder portion; a light beam is reflected perpendicularly to the cradle by means of a mirror which rotates about an axis mingled with that of the cradle and which is shifted with respect to the latter to illuminate successively, line by line, the image elements of the image to be analysed. The light beam having traversed the image support (20) is reflected to an electro-optical device (30) by means of an elliptic mirror (29) in order to reflect, without introducing any aberration, the light issued from the different image elements of a same line.
Abstract:
A film video player for sensing color film to produce a color vodeo signal includes a single frame charge coupled device (CCD) image sensor (246) having a pattern of color filter elements (1202, 1204, 1206). The single frame CCD image sensor is flash illuminated with an image of the color film during the vertical retrace intervals of a standard video signal. The flash illuminated single frame CCD image sensor enables high resolution to be achieved with a single chip image sensor. To reduce readout clock frequencies, the single frame image sensor is provided with a pair of parallel output registers (301, 303).
Abstract:
A method for controlling a scanning apparatus for scanning a continuously moved object (3) includes seizing the actual momentary position of the moving object (3), and controlling the time instant or period in which image information is captured by the scanning devices (6) in dependence of the actual momentary position of the object (3). The scanning apparatus in which the method is used includes a multiplicity (6) of line scanning devices arranged adjacent to each other in the direction of the movement of the moved object (3). Each of the line scanning devices has a multiplicity of pixels that are arranged adjacent to each other in a direction across a path along which the object (3) is moved. The pixels of the line scanning devices accumulate charges according to the amount of incident light. A controlling means (7) is provided for transferring the charges accumulated in individual pixels to pixels in the adjacent line scanning device in synchronism with direction of the movement and the speed of the moving object (3). The object (3) is illuminated or transilluminated by a light source (4).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device (1) for archiving master images. The master image is scanned and the acquired picture element values digitalized, whereby the resolution of the master image is acquired or determined in advance and the master image is then scanned with at last double its own resolution.
Abstract:
An image reader which easily and quickly specifies a frame containing a picture to be read of a transparent original containing a plurality of frames and reads the specified frame with good accuracy. The reader is provided with a carrier member which holds a film-like transparent original containing a plurality of frames, an illuminating means which illuminates the transparent original, and an image reading means which reads the image data of the original irradiated with the light. When the reader reads the image data for preview, the carrier member is moved by means of a carrier moving means. When the reader actually reads the image data, the carrier member is moved by moving a carrier table equipped with the carrier moving means and outputs image data to an image displaying device connected to the reader.
Abstract:
A picture inputting device which reads a picture recorded on a 35-mm film or a film housed in a cartridge of the new photography system and inputs the picture to a computer after converting the picture into digital picture signals. A film adapter (100) which holds a 35-mm film (401 and 402) or an adapter (300) which holds a cartridge of the new photography system is loaded in the groove section (2) of the device body. The picture recorded on a film is read by means of a linear CCD image sensor (9) and the digital picture signals of the picture is inputted to a computer etc.
Abstract:
A scanner for recording reflective items, such as documents, statements or the like, comprises a housing (4) which has at the top a plane, transparent supporting surface for the documents consisting of a glass pane (8) and in which is fitted a movable scanning device (9) which can be taken past an item laid on the glass pane in order to read it, and a cover pivoted on the housing which can be folded down on the top of the housing. In order to provide a simple and economical scanner which is capable of recording both transmissive and reflective items, e.g. X-ray film negatives and statements, even at the same time, with high resolution, the cover (6) takes the form of a translucent fitting for additionally accepting transmissive items, e.g. partially transparent items, X-ray film negatives or the like, laid on the glass pane (8); on its inside it has a plane translucent cover surface consisting of a matt plate (16) behind which there is a light source (18) for the diffused illumination of a transmissive item laid on the glass pane (8).
Abstract:
An apparatus for recording an image onto a light recording medium (16) includes a light source (120) which emits light at a position which is movable over a light emitting area (21) of the light source controlled by a controller (13). A light position sensor (142) has a target area optically coupled to light emitted from a plurality of positions within the light emitting area of the light source used for recording for detecting the position of the light intersecting the target area of the sensor from the light emitting area of the light source and generating a signal dependent upon the light intersecting the target area. A controller (13), responsive to the signal, produces a correction parameter and controls the position of the light on the light emitting area of the light source with the correction parameter during recording. The present invention also reduces the effects of recording errors which occur near section boundaries as the sections are recorded onto a recording medium.
Abstract:
A film video player apparatus for sensing a film frame image to produce a standard video signal includes an optical device (248) for selectively changing the magnification of the film image with respect to the video display (zoom), a device (252) for displacing the film image horizontally and vertically with respect to the video display (scan), and a control system (202) for coordinating zoom and scan so that the video display is always filled with the film image.
