Abstract:
A multi-function peripheral includes an image forming unit having an image forming device, and an image reading unit having an image reading device and located above the image forming unit. The image forming device forms an image on a recording sheet with moving a carriage reciprocally in a predetermined horizontal direction. The image reading device reads an image of an object by moving an image capturing element in the predetermined horizontal direction when the image forming unit operates. Spring elements are provided between the image forming unit and the image reading unit to apply an urging force therebetween in a direction parallel to the predetermined horizontal direction. The spring elements satisfy the following condition: 1 f f n > 2 , where, f and fn are characteristic frequencies of the image forming unit and the image reading unit, respectively, in the predetermined horizontal direction.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a fixing seat of main transmission shaft of a scanner, wherein a conical hole is formed on the surface of a main transmission shaft whereon a scanning head can move, and a belt conveyor is used to wind around a timing pulley and an idle pulley. The timing pulley is driven to rotate by a motor device so that the belt conveyor can drive the scanning head to move on the main transmission shaft. One end of an axis of the timing pulley protruding out of the surface thereof forms a slanting conical end, which is fixed in the conical hole. The present invention has the advantages of high stability, good reliability, and a low manufacturing cost.
Abstract:
A scanner includes a housing, a transparent platform, a scanning module, a motor, a front compensation element and a rear compensation element. The housing includes a front section, a rear section, and a scanning section. The transparent platform is installed on the housing for a document to be placed on. The scanning module is installed inside the housing for scanning the document. The motor is used to drive the scanning module. The front and rear compensation elements are installed inside the housing to assist the motor with starting and stopping the scanning module.
Abstract:
A rotation stabilizing device includes a rotary member rotated around a rotating center axis, an inertia member vibrating in accordance with a change of rotating speed of the rotary member, and a viscoelastic connector for detachably connecting the inertia member to the rotary member. The viscoelastic connector has viscosity and elasticity so as to change form in accordance with vibration of the inertia member. The inertia member is connected to at least one of an outer side and an inner side of the rotary member at a same phase in a direction of the rotating center axis of the rotary member by the viscoelastic connector.
Abstract:
The invention concerns image-recording apparatus, which records an image onto a sheet-film. The image-recording apparatus includes a mainframe; a main/sub-scanning unit that includes a main-scanning unit to expose a light-beam onto a sheet-film by scanning the light-beam in a main-scanning direction and a sub-scanning unit to convey the sheet-film in a sub-scanning direction; and a supporting member to mount and support the main/sub-scanning unit onto the mainframe at a supporting position. The height of the supporting position is substantially the same as that of a center of gravity of the main/sub-scanning unit. The sub-scanning unit is detachably integrated with the main-scanning unit to form the main/sub-scanning unit.
Abstract:
A translation system comprising: a linear support having first and second opposite ends; a carriage slid ably mounted on said support for movement in reciprocal linear directions between said first and second ends of said support; a rotary drive rotatable in opposite rotary directions located at one end of said support; a rotatable member mounted at the other end of said support; and a multiple cable assembly attached to said carriage and extending around said rotary drive and said rotatable member moving said carriage in said reciprocal linear directions as a function of rotation of said rotary drive in said opposite rotary directions.
Abstract:
A vibration-proof device for an upper transparency adapter (UTA) of a scanner is provided. The vibration-proof device includes a supporter for coupling a slide rod mounted in a cover of the upper transparency adapter for an optic source carriage to be slidably coupled thereto, a positioning member for retaining in place the supporter in the cover and an elastic member interposed between the supporter and a base of the cover for providing the supporter with an upward elastic force so as to resiliently abut the optic source carriage against a glass panel attached to the cover.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus utilizing an indirect-contact transmission arrangement. The image reading apparatus includes a securing apparatus for placing a object for scanning; an image receiving apparatus; a guiding shaft; a transmitting component which can slide along the guiding shaft and drive the securing apparatus to move relatively to the image receiving apparatus via an indirect-contact component; and a dragging component which connects and drives the transmitting component. The indirect-contact component prevents the dragging component from transmitting vibrations generated during the scanning process to either the securing apparatus or the image receiving apparatus.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a supporting member extended between the first and the second frames and supporting an exposure unit, wherein the primary resonance frequency of the supporting member is higher than that of a mirror provided in the exposure unit, whereby the supporting member is prevented from being caused to resonate by oscillation generated in the driving system of the apparatus main body to thereby prevent the mirror from oscillating.
Abstract:
A contact image sensor module having a plurality of spring mountings is provided to allow the CIS module contact tightly with the bottom surface side of the sheet table. The spring mountings are made of spring steel so that they are soft and elastic enough to support the CIS module. The spring mountings are engaged to the CIS module in a manner that ear-shaped spring steel plates are formed to rest on the side walls of the carriage for absorbing the shock of the CIS module. When conveyed by a carriage, the present invention can be adapted to any flatbed scanner having either a single guiding device or a pair of guiding device.
