Abstract: The present invention relates to an exposed type electric meter box including a body to receive an electric meter and a breaker therein and a cover to cover a front exposed portion of the body, and installed at a wall of a building or a cable tray. More particularly, the present invention relates to the exposed type electric meter box including a plurality of protrusions formed therein with a plurality of receiving parts for receiving a front edge of a cable tray at a rear surface of the body. When the body is provided at an open portion of the cable tray, the front edge of the cable tray is received between the receiving parts formed by protrusions so that the body may be disposed at an exact installation position of the cable table, thereby easily installing the electric meter box.When the box is directly installed at the wall of the building, the wall of the building is spaced apart from the rear surface of the box by the protrusions so that the rear surface of the box can be prevented from being condensed, thereby preventing an electric safety accident such as leakage.
