Abstract: 본 발명은 디지털 방송의 서비스 유형 중 하나인 데이터 방송 서비스 기술을 활용하여 기존의 주음성 또는 음성다중의 부음성 외에 복수의 음성 서비스를 제공하여 기존 방송 프로그램을 보다 다양하고 개인 맞춤형으로 즐길 수 있도록 한 디지털 방송을 위한 연동형 데이터 방송 기반의 멀티 오디오 서비스장치 및 서비스방법에 관한 것이다.
상기의 본 발명은,
방송사에서 제공되는 방송신호의 영상신호와 메인 오디오신호는 방송송출센터의 엔코더를 경유하는 중에 입력단자에 대응하는 출력단자의 조합에 신호를 출력하면서 부호화되도록 하고,
상기의 부호화한 영상신호와 메인 오디오신호는 멀티플렉서(12)를 경유하는 중에 다수의 입력 중에서 선택된 신호만 출력되도록 하고,
상기의 영상신호와 메인 오디오신호에 멀티 오디오신호가 혼합된 복합 방송신호가 변조기로 전달되어 유선이나 무선으로 전송 가능하도록 변환되도록 하고,
상기의 변조기에서 변환된 복합 방송신호가 셋톱박스(STB)로 전달되면서 변환되어 영상출력기기로 영상신호와 메인 오디오신호 및 멀티 오디오신호가 영상 및 음성으로 출력되도록 하되,
상기의 방송사로부터 영상신호와 메인 오디오신호의 방송 주파수 대역정보와 동기신호를 전달받는 상기의 멀티 오디오 생성부의 멀티 오디오 컨트롤러에서 멀티 오디오신호의 프로그램인 멀티 오디오 어플리케이션(application)과 멀티 오디오신호를 생성하고,
상기의 멀티 오디오 어플리케이션과 멀티 오디오신호를 전달받는 멀티 오디오 처리기에서는 상기의 방송사로부터의 메인 오디오신호와 동기화되도록 처리하여 출력하도록 하고,
상기의 동기화된 상기의 멀티 오디오 어플리케이션과 멀티 오디오신호를 전달받는 데이터 방송 컨트롤러에서는 상기의 엔코더에서 영상신호와 메인 오디오신호와 혼합되도록 멀티 오디오 어플리케이션과 멀티 오디오신호를 출력하도록 구성함을 특징으로 한다.-
