PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power semiconductor module that provides a good electrical and mechanical stability and has a long service life, even in the presence of electrical arcing.SOLUTION: A first press pin 6 having a foot 8 is provided. A base 12 of the foot 8 is provided for contacting with contact elements 4a, 4b of a power semiconductor device 3. This contact elements are arranged on a base plate 2. Insulation means 13 is provided for electrically insulating an outer surface 14 of the foot 8. A power semiconductor module 1 is also provided. A power semiconductor module assembly having a plurality of power semiconductor modules 1 is also provided. Here, the power semiconductor modules 1 are arranged side by side to each other with electric connections between adjacent power semiconductor modules 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of arc horns for circuit breakers.SOLUTION: A first switch contact 202a is movable between a first position in which the first switch contact 202a comes into contact with a second switch contact 202b and a second position in which the first switch contact 202a and the second switch contact 202b are separated from each other and has at least two stacks 102 and 106 of a plurality of parallel metal plates 104a, 104b, 108a and 108b as arc chutes, wherein a first connection device 120 electrically connects the first switch contact 202a to the metal plate 104a selected from the closest 25% of the metal plates to the first stack 102, and second connection devices 122a and 122b connect the second switch contact to the metal plate 108a selected from the closest 25% of the metal plates to the second stack 106.

SOLUTION: The switching chamber has a switching chamber housing 2 made from a conductive material. The switching chamber housing 2 surrounds the vicinity of an erosion volume wherein an erosion contact device formed of a contact tube 3 and a contact pin 4 is internally arranged, and has at least one outlet 8 connecting the erosion volume with an outlet opening 16 on an outer surface of the switching chamber housing 2. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device with low on-state loss and high SOA (safe operation area) capability. SOLUTION: A first oxide layer 22 is produced on a first main side of a substrate 1 of a first conductivity type. Gate electrode layers 3 and 3' with at least one opening 31 are formed on the top of the first oxide layer 22. A first dopant of the first conductivity type is implanted into the substrate 1 on the first main side with the gate electrode layers 3 and 3' as a mask and is diffused into the substrate 1 to form an enhancement layer. Thereafter, a second dopant of a second conductivity type is implanted into the substrate 1 on the first main side and is diffused into the substrate 1 to form a base layer. At least one channel 50 for adhesive agent which is mainly guided in a diameter direction is arranged between the cavity 15 and the adhesive joint 51, and the channel 50 of the adhesive agent is sealed by a hardened adhesive agent and moreover has a cross section sufficient for guiding an unhardened adhesive agent from the cavity 15 into the adhesive joint 51 before formation of a hardened adhesive layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an automated, real-time control of a waste incineration plant treating waste with fluctuating moisture content. SOLUTION: In a method of and a system for controlling a waste combustion process, time varying process/parameters of the waste combustion process, such as a water content of the incoming waste, are estimated via a parameter estimation algorithm for time varying parameters based on Kalman Filters. The estimated process/parameters are then used to determine, in a controller for real-time control of the waste incineration plant, control parameters, such as a waste feed rate corresponding to input variables of a model of the waste combustion process.
