Abstract:
Compounds of the formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein X 1 , X 2 , X 3 , X 4 , X 5 , X 6 , X 7 , R 1 , and Q 1 are defined herein, inhibit kinase enzymes and are useful for the treatment and/or prevention of hyperproliferative diseases such as cancer. The compounds are also useful in the treatment of inflammation, allergy, asthma, disease and conditions of the immune system, disease and conditions of the nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, disease and conditions of the eye, dermatological diseases, osteoporosis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and infections.
Abstract:
Compounds of the present invention are useful for inhibiting protein tyrosine kinases. Also disclosed are methods of making the compounds, compositions containing the compounds, and methods of treatment using the compounds.
Abstract:
A louvre system for a conical lampshade includes three or more separate rings of varying inner diameter. The rings are structured to be placed over the top of the lampshade so that they become seated on an exterior of the lampshade in a horizontal position and at vertically spaced intervals to diffuse light and enhance the appearance of the lampshade. A method of the invention is directed to enhancing the appearance and light diffusing characteristics of a conical lampshade including the steps of: determining multiple ring positions on the lampshade at vertically spaced intervals; determining the exterior diameter of the lampshade at each ring position; providing at least three rings having inner diameters corresponding to the ring position diameters; and dropping the rings over the top of the lampshade in an order of largest to smallest inner ring diameter so that the rings become seated at the ring positions.
Abstract:
A system for controlling a speed of a vehicle is provided. The system includes a first communications unit and a second communications unit. The first communications unit is coupled to an engine controller for controlling an engine of a first vehicle. Also, the first communications unit includes a first sending unit for sending a first message to the engine controller. The second communications unit is located remotely from the first communications unit and includes a second sending unit for sending a second message to the first communications unit to cause the first communications unit to send the first message to control the speed of the first vehicle. A method for remotely controlling the speed of a vehicle is also included which includes sending a controlling message from a remote communications unit to a proximal communications unit coupled to an engine of a vehicle. The method further includes receiving a controlling message at the proximal communications unit and controlling a speed of the vehicle based on the message.
Abstract:
A safety latch device for a paper cutter movably attached to the cutting arm of the paper cutter. The safety latch has a base catch, an arm catch and a trigger. The base catch engages with an extended portion of the base of the paper cutter to prevent a user from raising the cutting arm. The arm catch engages with a top surface of the cutting arm to prevent the safety latch from interfering with the cutting arm during operation. The trigger allows the user to disengage the base catch from the extended portion of the base so the cutting arm can be lifted.
