Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that enables a client and a server belonging to different enterprise domains to provide/utilize two-way web-services with few or no changes of firewalls. SOLUTION: A tunnel hub is deployed in a public domain and tunnel gateways are deployed behind firewalls where clients request two-way services and servers provide two-way services. Each tunnel gateway (behind the firewalls) constructs a secure tunnel out through the firewall to a target hub. After the tunnel is created (constructed), a request for service of the first domain enters the tunnel gateway, travels to the tunnel hub in the public domain and further enters a tunnel gateway in a second domain. When the server in the second domain provides the service, the service passes inversely to a route through which the request has passed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide caller-identification information, in spoken, to visually-impaired users. SOLUTION: A first party creates and edits a phonetic-alphabet representation for its name. The phonetic-alphabet representation is conveyed to a second party as caller-identification information by messages that set up a call between the parties. The phonetic-alphabet representation of the name is displayed to the second party, converted to speech, and/or converted to an alphabet of a language of the second party and then displayed to the second party. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved display type console panel for telephone communication control that makes it easy and proper to operate a software button type telephone system. SOLUTION: The display type console panel comprises a display unit having a telephone set icon which can be moved by user's operation and indicates a telephone set, a function range section fixedly displayed on a display screen and indicating a predetermined range on the screen, and a data list provided outside the area of the function range section on the display screen and containing predetermined information data. One of a plurality of telephone communication operation modes is selected if the telephone set icon is indicated or moved or the data list is indicated by an icon for indication through the telephone set icon. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow at least a combination of feature rich telephony applications by using personalized information and communications preferences stored in a profile in an STB in a structured format or via cookies, facilitating functionally rich communications sessions with the personalized data stored in the STB. SOLUTION: Providing advanced multimedia communications applications using the personalized data resident in the STB could allow an entity to provide, for example, many previously unavailable services and therefore provide considerable new business potential. The personal information stored in the STB can convey many exemplary benefits, such as communications preferences, alternate contact modalities, payment preferences, priority preferences, trusted contacts, personal information, as well as multimedia messaging, etc. The integration of the personal information with the intelligent personal agent also enhances the user experience. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automatically determining a writing system preferably selected by a user in a session start protocol, and for providing caller ID information to a user in a preferred writing system. SOLUTION: An "Accept-language" header field of a first session start protocol (SIP) message identifies first side preferred selection language of communication, a database correlates the language with the writing system, and further mutual correlation is used in order to insert a second side name of the communication expressed in the writing system of the first side preferred selection language into "P-Asserted-Identity", "From", or "Contact" of the second SIP message. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for providing customer treatment information over a network. SOLUTION: A transaction communication is established between a first enterprise and a second enterprise by receiving a request from a user associated with the first enterprise to establish the transaction communication; determining if the second enterprise is authorized to access enterprise information of the first enterprise; obtaining enterprise information from an enterprise database of the first enterprise; and providing the obtained information to the second enterprise as part of the establishment of the transaction communication if the second enterprise is authorized to access the enterprise information of the first enterprise. The enterprise information is generally related to the transaction and may comprise one or more of customer priority information and a transaction history. The second enterprise can determine if a third enterprise is authorized to access enterprise information of the first enterprise and/or the second enterprise. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for detecting intrusion in a VoIP system. SOLUTION: A VoIP node notifies an intrusion detection system (IDS) of the state transition of a protocol in the VoIP node. The intrusion detection system (IDS) receives the notification of the state transition of the protocol, and uses the finite-state machine (FSM) of a calling party node, the finite-state machine (FSM) of a server, and the finite-state machine (FSM) of a called party node. When one of the finite-state machines (FSMs) of the nodes reaches a designated state, the respective finite-state machines (FSMs) of two other nodes are required to meet constraints that they should reach the indicated states within two seconds. When the constrains are not met, an alarm for indicating the possibility of intrusion is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and apparatus for reducing wireless telecommunication costs for enterprises or oganizations having a plurality of PBXs connected by a public/private network. SOLUTION: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for reducing wireless telecommunication costs for enterprises having a plurality of PBX-equipped sites, connected by either a public network (e.g., the PSTN, the Internet, etc.), a private networks (e.g., the leased line, the virtual private network over the Internet, etc). In particular, the illustrative embodiments of the present invention attempt to reduce telecommunication costs by advantageously routing calls from an off-premises wireless terminal (e.g., a cellular phone) belonging to the enterprise to the destination via one or more of the enterprise's private branch exchanges. The present invention is especially advantageous in that it can reduce telecommunication costs for calls from an off-premise wireless terminal to any type of destination( a cellular phone, a wireline terminal, a private branch exchange, etc).
