Abstract:
A sleeve which is slid over the blade of a knife or the like and includes two interconnected sections. One of the sections includes a plurality of spaced molded clips formed in and spaced along a shoulder which extends around the periphery of the one section. The other section includes a plurality of cut-outs formed in and spaced along a shoulder which extends around the periphery of the other section. The clips on the one section extend through the openings defined by the cut-outs in the other section respectively and latch onto the shoulder on the other section for coupling the first and second sections together to form the sleeve.
Abstract:
A sleeve (10) which is slid over the blade (11) of a knife (12) or the like and includes two interconnected sections (22, 24). One of the sections (24) includes a plurality of spaced molded clips (46) formed in and spaced along a shoulder (66) which extends around the periphery of one section (24). The other section (22) includes a plurality of cut-outs (74) formed in and spaced along a shoulder (66) which extends around the periphery of the other section. The clips (46) on the one section (24) extend through the openings defined by the cut-outs (74) in the other section respectively and latch onto the shoulder on the other section for coupling the first and second sections (22, 24) together to form the sleeve.
Abstract:
A drive unit that is movable between an unfired and a fired position. The drive unit comprises a handle member, a first drive gear having a first axis of rotation, and a second drive gear, engaged to the first drive gear at a mesh point, and having a second axis of rotation. The mesh point moves with respect to the axes of rotation as the handle member moves from the unfired position to the fired position. The drive unit drives an implement only when it is moved from the unfired position to the fired position.
Abstract:
A colorant composition containing a hydrophobic latex polymer component to impart resistance to water-softening and -staining in a paint film made from a latex paint formulated with the colorant composition, as well as the paint and paint film, and methods for making the foregoing.
Abstract:
A juicer (10) includes a reservoir (14) with a spout (16) and an annular rim having an extended portion with at least two holes. An extractor having an upright convex extracting dome (22) is surrounded by an annular trough (36) having openings (32) therethrough. The extractor has a strainer element (18) and is removably seated on the annular rim of the reservoir. The extractor has at least one peg (72) that can mate with the at least two holes (66, 68) in at least two positions. The strainer element (18) covers the spout when the peg is mated with one of the holes in a first position. The strainer element does not cover the spout when the peg is mated with another of the holes in a second position. When mated, the extractor cannot rotated relative to the reservoir. A resilient, elastomeric foot (20) on the reservoir prevents rotation of the reservoir relative to a supporting surface.
Abstract:
The subject invention comprises a method and device for forming a mixture in a multi-use container (10). The invention includes a housing (12) having an opened end and an opposed closed end. The invention further includes a mixing assembly (14) having a mixing device in communication with the housing at the opened end. The mixing device has a whisk portion (70) and is guidingly supported in the mixing assembly, where the mixing device is configured for movement within the housing.
Abstract:
The present invention is a device (10) for storing and selectively sharpening a knife (16). The present invention includes a scabbard (12) with opposing first (20) and second (18) ends. An opening is defined in the first end (20) and a passage defined in the scabbard (12) for receiving a knife blade. The device further includes a sharpening device (64) and an engagement device (62), where the engagement device is in operable communication with the scabbard for selectively moving the sharpening device (64) relative to the scabbard (12).
Abstract:
Described are artificial turfs having a nonwoven backing layer and a plurality of turf fibers extending through the nonwoven backing layer such that a face side portion of the turf fibers extends from the face side of the nonwoven backing layer and a back side portion of the turf fibers extends from the back side of the nonwoven backing layer, wherein at least a portion of the back side portion of turf fibers are bonded to themselves. Also described herein are the methods of making the same.
Abstract:
A lumber assembly and finishing system for use in assembling constructs includes a lumber table configured to support arranged pieces of lumber. A press station presses nailing plates into the pieces of lumber to join the pieces of lumber together to form the lumber construct. A lumber construct transporter moves the arranged pieces of lumber from the lumber table to the press station while keeping the pieces of lumber in their arranged configuration.
