Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that efficiency and convenience of radio resources is degraded when the repeating rate of SIB has to be increased for complementing defective transmission in order to keep proper performance of a system function in a UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications Systems) TDD or FDD system. SOLUTION: A method for processing a received communication (80) which includes periodic transmissions of a set of information segments. A first transmission of the set of information segments is received and processed to identify each of the segments as being valid or invalid (81). The valid segments (82) of the first set are then stored. Where all segments of the set are not stored (83), subsequent transmissions (85) of the set of information segments are received, and only those segments that have not been previously stored are processed to identify each such segment as being valid or invalid. The valid segments so identified are then stored (82). Subsequent transmissions (85) are repeatedly received, until all segments of the set have been stored. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control that minimizes the interference introduced by an uplink common control channel. SOLUTION: In a method and a system using wireless digital code-division multiple access technology, in which adaptive modulation and coding is utilized in order to achieve improved radio resource utilization and provide increased data rates for user services in which the base station measures up link interference on all time slots received from user equipment UE and determines the need for uplink control channel. The base station transmits to the UE the allocation of specific uplink control channels indicating uplink interference in the time slot and potentially the quality margin. The UE determines an appropriate uplink power level based on a path loss determination made by the UE, uplink interference and an optionally selected quality margin. The UE then initiates an uplink communication responsive to these determinations. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a scramble code, of which separation between scramble codes that are generated for each UE ID is properly separated, to reduce the occurrence of detection errors. SOLUTION: A code is generated and it is used for scrambling and descrambling data related to a high-speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) for a specified user device. A user identifier of the specified user device includes L bits. A 1/2-rate convolutional encoder (14) processes at least a bit of the user identifier by a 1/2-rate convolutional code and generates a code. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maximum data transfer rate to make a hybrid automatic repetition request (H-ARQ) transmitting barrier into minimum. SOLUTION: A transport block set is transmitted by a first specified modulation/coding system. Each transport block set is received, and it is determined whether the transport block set fills the specified quality (50). When the specified quality is not filled, a repetitive request is transmitted (51). The specified modulation/coding system is permuted to a second specified modulation/coding system which can support reducing the number of TBS in transmitting time interval. In responding to the repetitive request, at least one of the transport block sets is resent. The resent transport block set is received. The resent transport block set is combined with a corresponding transport block set received before (51). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
