PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition which reduces misting in a high-speed coating process and achieves cost reduction, ease of production, and ease of use.SOLUTION: A composition contains: (i) a silicone-based coating component which is easily misted under mist generating conditions; and (ii) a misting-preventing amount of a branched polysiloxane component which is generated by copolymerizing, under hydrosilylation conditions, a mixture containing (a) one or more organosilicon compounds having at least two unsaturated hydrocarbon functional groups per molecule, and (b) one or more silylhydride-containing compounds having at least two silylhydride functional groups per molecule.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a containment vessel (crucible) for evaporating materials for use in applying thin film coatings to a substrate in a molecular beam epitaxial process or manufacturing of a solar cell.SOLUTION: The containment vessel 100 for evaporating materials for use in applying thin film coatings to a substrate includes a body 110 fabricated from a refractory material. In one embodiment, the body includes end portions 112, 114 capable of being connected to other bodies in an end to end fashion. In another embodiment, the body includes an integrally patterned conductor incorporated into the outer surface portion of the body to facilitate association with an electrical power source for heating.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable polyorganosiloxane composition having excellent quick curability.SOLUTION: A two-agent type curable polyorganosiloxane composition consisting of a first component and a second component, comprises (A) an alkenyl group-containing polyorganosiloxane containing two or more alkenyl groups in the molecule, (B) a polyorganohydrogensiloxane having two or more hydrogen atoms bound to a silicon atom in the molecule and (C) a platinum-based catalyst. The ratio of the number of the hydrogen atom bound to the silicon atom, Hin (B) to the number of the alkenyl group Viin (A) is from 0.5 to 10.0 and (C) is from 0.5 to 2000 ppm as platinum metal atoms. The first component contains (A) and (C) and the second component contains (B) in the two-agent type curable polyorganosiloxane composition.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silane-terminated resin-curable composition for use in non-hot-melt adhesives which are flowable at room temperature and cure into high modulus products.SOLUTION: A moisture-curable silylated polymer resin composition contains silylated polyurethane prepolymer or silylated ether prepolymer, and silylated acrylate polymer. The composition is flowable at room temperatures, and upon curing forms high modulus resins, which are suitable for adhesives, coating agent and sealants for use in, e.g., automotive and industrial applications.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trisiloxane surfactant composition showing resistance to hydrolysis over a wide pH range.SOLUTION: This invention relates to three types of trisiloxane surfactants having a basic formula: MDM'. In this case, each substituent on different M and M' groups, together with a pendant polyalkylene oxide substituent on a D group, allows the surfactant to have hydrolysis resistance under a basic or acidic condition on the outside of a pH range from pH 6.0 to 7.5. A composition is useful for agricultural, domestic and cosmetic applications.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone rubber composition, which can provide a molded article having a high level of light diffuseness and light transmittance in a well-balanced manner.SOLUTION: This silicone rubber composition contains: (A) 100 pts.mass of a thermosetting silicone rubber mixture including a polyorganosiloxane that is a base polymer, and a hardener; and (B) 0.1-5.0 pts.mass of a diffusing agent composed of inorganic particles including calcium carbonate, relative to 100 pts.mass of the polyorganosiloxane that is the base polymer of the component (A). The calcium carbonate included in the component (B) has an average particle size of 3.0 μm or less, a maximum particle size of 15 μm or less, and a refractive index higher than 1.50.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure in which heater patterns in multi-zones do not cause continuity between each other even when a heater base material is formed with a conductive material such as graphite.SOLUTION: A built-in type multi-zone heater 10 comprises: a graphite heater base material 11 having a configuration where inner/outer heater patterns 12,16 which are independently temperature controllable are combined with a space 19 interposed therebetween, and a plurality of PBN ribs 21 which are intermittently arranged in the space and connect the heater patterns. Since inner/outer heater patterns are connected with an insulative PBN ribs, the continuity between the heater patterns are prevented. The heaters have shape retention property while permitting a certain level of deformation. Consequently, there are exhibited effect of preventing breakage and damage due to thermal expansion coefficient difference of the heater base material and the rib formed of respectively different kinds of materials.
