    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for making a cable having a surface with a reduced coefficient of friction that hardly alters geometrical characteristics of the cable; and a cable produced using the method.SOLUTION: The present invention includes a cable 12 having reduced surface friction, and the method of manufacturing the same having the steps of: coating a conductor wire 14 with a mixture of a plastic material 17 and a lubricating material 19; and cooling the coated conductor wire. The cable 12 includes at least one conductor wire 14 and at least one coating of the plastic material 17, and incorporates a lubricating material 19 in and/or on the plastic material 17. The equipment for manufacturing the electrical cable 12 includes: a reel 13 for supplying the conductor wire 14 to an extruding head 15, which is connected to tanks 16, 18, which respectively contain the plastic material 17 and the lubricating material 19 for coating the conductor wire 14; and a reel 21 for taking up the cable 12.
