Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of optically testing weatherability which has a means capable of continuously measuring the wind velocity on the surface of a sample being disposed on a rotating sample frame and being moved together with the sample frame. SOLUTION: The wind velocity detecting means of a wind velocity detecting sensor is arranged on a position identical to the sample surface of the sample moved together with the rotating sample frame. In the detecting means, one of two resistive elements made of platinum of is used for the measurement and the other is used for compensating the temperature. The elements are disposed on the straddling sides of a partition wall, arranged parallel to the partition wall, and separated from a substrate. The partition wall and the platinum resistive elements are covered by a U-shaped covering member. The power from a power source is supplied through a non-contact slide transformer which is activated by inserting movable secondary coil disposed on the edge section of a rotating shaft of the sample frame into a fixed primary coil. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten reliability of a corrosion test by adjusting pH of saripled spray liquid to be neutral, and to accelerate corrosion speed. SOLUTION: Compressed air is brought into contact with an adsorbent represented by molecular sieve carbon and zeolite having high selective adsorbablity of gaseous carbon dioxide relative to gaseous nitrogen or gaseous oxygen, to thereby remove gaseous the carbon dioxide from the compressed air by a pressure swing adsorption system, and part of the air after removing carbon dioxide is brought into contact with an adsorbent represented by molecular sieve carbon and zeolite having high selective adsorbablity of gaseous nitrogen relative to gaseous oxygen, to thereby remove the gaseous nitrogen by the pressure swing adsorption system, and the air after removing carbon dioxide is mixed therewith at an optional ratio, respectively. Then, after adjusting ventilation pressure, the mixed air is passed through an air saturator and discharged from a spray nozzle. Saltwater is sprayed from the spray nozzle as mist into a test chamber from a spray tower and provided into the test chamber, to thereby execute the corrosion test.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for accurately measuring a sample temperature and for quick reading/displaying with respect to a weather/light resistance test. SOLUTION: There are provided a temperature detecting part 3, an A/D conversion part 6 housed in a vessel, a liquid-crystal display part 10, a CPU part 12, and a constant-voltage control part 25, which are contained in a display measurement part 24. Related to the temperature detecting part 3, a semiconductor temperature sensor 5 is tightly fitted to a sensitive part and the rear surface of a panel 4 whose hue and material is identical with a sample, and the sensed temperature of the panel is converted into an output voltage of the semiconductor temperature sensor 5. The temperature data is directly read at the liquid- crystal display part 10. The CPU part 12 comprises a measuring control part 7, a calculation part 8, and a display switching part 9, as well as switches 11 among power source, display switching, average, and measurement. An average value, a maximum value, and a minimum value from an integrated instantaneous value of the sensed temperature of the liquid-crystal display part 10 are sequentially directly read through the display switching part 9.

SOLUTION: This degradation promotion test method uses a liquid, unlike conventional air as a heat transfer medium (means) to a test piece. Thereby, a temperature shock, that is the degradation factor of the materials the so-called a temperature difference degradation test and a concentration difference degradation test can be made to be present in a conventional combined cycle test method as a single test condition (item) to allow various combined cycle test patterns.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable harmless emission to the atmosphere by converting the whole nitrogen monoxide in an exhaust into nitrogen dioxide by an ultraviolet ray lamp and a silent discharge ozone generator, and adsorbing and catching the whole amount of nitrogen dioxide by a gas adsorption vessel. SOLUTION: Oxygen is converted into ozone by an ultraviolet ray generated by an ultraviolet ray lamp 12 provided in the inside of an oxidation reaction vessel 3, and nitrogen monoxide is converted into nitrogen dioxide to convert nitrogen monoxide in an exhaust into nitrogen dioxide. A large quantity of ozone is introduced from a silent discharge ozone generator 6 communicating through an ozone introduction pipe to the oxidation reaction vessel 3, and nitrogen monoxide is reacted with the ozone together with the action of the ultraviolet ray to convert the whole nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide. The whole amount of the exhaust for converting nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide in an ozone oxidation reaction vessel 9 is adsorbed by a nitrogen dioxide adsorbent 15 filled between the upper depression filter 13 and the lower depression filter 14 of a gas adsorption vessel 4. Clean air is sucked into a suction vessel 5 connected to a blower 16, and the harmless exhaust is discharged from an exhaust opening 17.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an ion exchange membrane which is small in surface electric resistance, is small in ohmic loss, is free of the fault of O3 generation by a different metal, such as Pd, and has a high generation capability by sputtering and depositing platinum by evaporation on the ion exchange membrane 2 subjected to surface roughening treatment and hot water treatment and heat treating the membrane in hot water, than subjecting the membrane to reduction treatment in a hydrazine soln. then to platinum plating with an immersion cell type plating device. SOLUTION: The ion exchange membrane 2 for electrolysis of water is subjected to the surface roughening treatment by sandblasting or the like and is immersed, after washing with water, into a pure water boiling bath and is boiled therein, by which the impurities in the membrane are discharged. The membrane is wiped away of moisture and is air dried. The membrane is put into the vacuum vessel of a sputtering device where the pressure is held at about 10 Pa and Ar cations are accelerated to adhere the platinum atoms to the ion exchange membrane 2, and a thin film is formed. After the membrane is heat treated in hot pure water, the membrane is subjected to the reduction treatment in a hydrazine monohydrate soln. and is placed on the sample table 4 of the immersion cell type plating device 1. A plating frame 3 is placed thereon and is fixed by a tightening means 5. A platinic acid chloride soln. 6 is put into the frame and the membrane is subjected to platinum plating.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose dioxins by heating exhaust gas exhausted from a refuse incinerator under high temp. atmosphere in a flue. SOLUTION: A plurality of burners 5 are fitted along the inner wall of a flue in the crosssectional face direction and oxygen and hydrogen gas are generated by electrolysis of water as a means for feeding gas for burning to a burner unit 4 and air is fed and mixed with oxygen gas by means of an air pump 10 to change the ratio of (oxygen + air) in hydrogen. Burning temp. of the burner unit 4 is controlled at a high temp. of 1,300-1,500 deg.C by this constitution to decompose dioxins with a high speed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ozone weather meter which achieves a checking for deterioration rubber, resin and fiber products and the like in an ozone gas by artificially producing an atmosphere of an ozone gas in view of the fact that the cracking of the rubber products is caused by a trace of ozone gas existing in the atmospheric air. SOLUTION: In this ozone weather meter used as ozone generator, a platinum plating 50 is applied on both surfaces of an ion exchange membrane 15, which 15 is integrally grasped by a cathode plate 16 and an anode plate 19. Water is decomposed by a voltage applied to a cathode and an anode and an ozone gas generated on the anode plane 19 is diluted by air to produce an atmosphere of a required concentration of ozone.
