Abstract: In one embodiment, example systems and methods relate to ordering food from a vehicle. A driver or a passenger of a vehicle indicates that they would like to order food from the vehicle by speaking a command, or by making a selection on a display associated with the vehicle. In response to the indication, the vehicle determines one or more restaurants that are near the vehicle, or that are near the route being traveled by the vehicle. After the driver or passenger selects a restaurant, the vehicle loads a restaurant specific natural language understanding model that is associated with the restaurant. As the driver or passenger speaks their order, the restaurant specific natural language understanding model is used to process the audio and generate an order. The order and an estimated time of arrival of the vehicle is provided electronically to the restaurant.

Abstract: A virtual assistance system for a vehicle is provided. The virtual assistance system includes one or more processors, one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, an input device communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, an output device communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, and machine readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules. The virtual assistance system receives, through the input device, a request for an item from a user, retrieves a location of an entity associated the item, calculates an estimated arrival time when the vehicle will arrive at the location, compares the estimated arrival time with a predetermined time associated with the entity, and instructs the output device to generate a delivery prompt related to the item in response to comparing the estimated arrival time with the predetermined time.

Abstract: Systems and methods for vehicle telematics registration are provided. One embodiment of a method includes receiving a vehicle identifier for a vehicle and a user telephone number for a user from a vehicle head unit, where the vehicle head unit provided a user interface requesting the user telephone number. Similarly, some embodiments include populating a portion of a registration form for a telematics service with the vehicle identifier and the user telephone number, creating a link to the registration form, and inserting the link into an electronic message to the user telephone number. Still some embodiments include sending the electronic message to the user telephone number and registering, by the computing device, the vehicle for the telematics service in response to the user selecting the link and submitting the registration form.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating vehicle profiles and rendering and operating a virtual world are disclosed. Abstract: A system for controlling operation of a vehicle includes a millimeter-wave radar sensor, a processor, and a memory communicably coupled to the processor. The memory stores a sensor control module configured to automatically control operation of the radar sensor to perform at least one radar scan of at least a portion of an interior of the vehicle. The sensor control module is also configured to determine, using information acquired by the at least one radar scan of the vehicle interior, at least one characteristic of a child car seat positioned in the interior. The sensor control module is also configured to compare the at least one determined characteristic of the child car seat with child car seat comparison information and, responsive to the comparison of the at least one determined characteristic with the child car seat comparison information, control an operation of the vehicle.
