Abstract: PURPOSE: A recessive oncogene of bovine bgl-1 cDNA and a protein encoded thereby are provided. The recessive oncogene of bovine bgl-1 has sequence homology to tumor suppressing gene Igl. CONSTITUTION: A recessive oncogene of bovine bgl-1 protein having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 is provided. A cDNA encoding the recessive oncogene of bovine bgl-1 is provided, wherein the recessive oncogene of bovine bgl-1 cDNA has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; and the recessive oncogene of bovine bgl-1 cDNA consists of ORF(open reading frame) of 3,111 nucleotides encoding 1,036 amino acids and comprises distinct WD-40 repetitive region(protein-protein interaction).
