PURPOSE: A method for processing an event in a home network supporting a remote user interface, and an apparatus thereof are provided to transfer differently stored notification events to each RUIC(Remote User Interface Client) depending on the condition of each RUIC. CONSTITUTION: A RUIC(Remote User Interface Client) requests from an RUIS(Remote User Interface Server) a notification event which is not received(S301), and the RUIS transfers the notification event to the RUIC according to a sequence number(S303). Based on the URL(Uniform Resource Locator) of the notification event, the RUIC which receives the notification event receives a notification page(S305).

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving a digital broadcasting is provided to selectively receive services according to the supportable formats. CONSTITUTION: Each service is transmitted through the two TS(Transport Streams). The two TS are reorganized through the three PLPs(Physical Layer Pipes). The HDTV(High Definition TV) service is transmitted through the TS 1(201). The SDTV(Standard Definition TV) service is transmitted through the TS 2(203). The part for the HDTV service of the ESG 1(Electrical Service Guide1) is transmitted through TS1. The part for the SDTV service of ESG1 is transmitted through TS2. The ESG BS(Bootstrap) has two ESG entry points.

PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling an RUI(Remote User Interface) device are provided to control a corresponding device and the RUI by only using necessary control functions through a specified control UI. CONSTITUTION: An RUIS(Remote User Interface Server)(301) generates only RUI(Remote User Interface) and creates the RUI and the control UI. An RUIC(Remote User Interface Client)(300) configures the control UI through a control UI manager based on the RUI information. A third RUIC(302) remotely controls the RUIC according to an UI(received control UI), and receives the information for receiving the control UI from the searched RUIS and the RUIC. The third RUIC determines the RUIS and the RUIC which are the target for remote control, and the control UI generates a control command of the RUIC.

PURPOSE: A method for providing a service guide using rich media in a digital broadcast system and a system therefor are provided to solve compatibility problems of terminals which do not support the rich media. CONSTITUTION: A service guide fragment is composed(S401). An RMS(Rich Media Solution) template for generating a service guide by referring to the service guide fragment is generated(S403). BSDA(BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation) generates a service guide delivery descriptor including RMS information and information about the service guide fragment(S405). The service guide fragment, the RMS template, and the service guide delivery descriptor are broadcast(S407).
