Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus of transmitting and receiving a response signal in a wireless communications system. The method for transmitting the response signal in a broadcasting system comprises the steps of: generating acknowledgement (ACK) information for uplink packet data for each user; determining a symbol and a subcarrier which will transmit the ACK information for each user inside a transmission frame; transmitting ACK transmission related information via a control channel inside the transmission frame; and transmitting the ACK information for each user via the determined symbol and subcarrier inside the transmission frame. In addition, the present invention has an advantage of providing feedback information for an uplink by utilizing an existing broadcasting frame structure without utilizing a separate channel.
