Abstract:
본 발명은 USB(Universal Serial Bus) 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 USB 시스템은 호스트와 USB 케이블을 통해 호스트와 연결된 적어도 하나 이상의 디바이스를 포함하며, 호스트와 디바이스 간의 통신이 데드락 상태에 빠지게 되면, 호스트는 디바이스로의 전원공급을 차단하고, 초기화 과정을 거친 후, 디바이스로의 전원공급을 재개함으로써, 호스트와 디바이스 간의 통신이 데드락 상태로부터 자동적으로 빠져나오도록 한다.
Abstract:
A USB(Universal Serial Bus) host, a USB system, and a driving method thereof are provided to automatically get out from a deadlock state without removing and reconnecting a USB cable when USB data communication is got into a deadlock state. A device(200) is connected to the host(100) through the USB cable(300). If the deadlock state is generated, the host cuts off power supplied to the device through a power line and supplies again the power to the device after an initialization process. The host includes the first switch for controlling power supply for the device by connecting to the power line. The device is equipped with a pull-up resistor connected to a data line of the USB and the pull-up resistor is connected to the second switch. The second switch cuts off the connection between the pull-up resistor and the data line if the power supply through the power line is cut off, and makes the connection between the pull-up resistor and the data line if the power supply is restarted.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for transmitting broadcast packets in the piconet of a Bluetooth system and determining the transmission frequency of broadcast packets is provided to flexibly adjust the transmission frequency in broadcast packet communication according to channel states in order to prevent a waste of channels due to unnecessary retransmission in the case of a good channel state. CONSTITUTION: A Bluetooth system receives a data packet from a host(310) and determines whether the received data packet is a broadcast packet(320). In case that the received data packet is not a broadcast packet, the Bluetooth system repeatedly transmits the data packet until a master receives an ACK(ACKnowledgement) signal from each slave(331). Then the Bluetooth system stores the number of data packets transmitted to each slave in the master(332). However, if the received data packet is a broadcast packet, the Bluetooth system compares the number of data packets repeatedly transmitted for each channel, obtains the maximum value through the comparison, and determines the obtained value as the frequency of transmission(341). Then the Bluetooth system repeatedly transmits broadcast packets as much as the determined transmission frequency(342).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A circuit for efficiently improving a power amplifier in a dual mode portable wireless terminal is provided to decrease a consumption power of the terminal by satisfying characteristics of CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) and AMPS(Advanced Mobile Phone Service) modes in dual mode using only one power amplifier and optimizing efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A CDMA matching unit(20) connects to an output terminal of a power amplifier(10) and performs a matching when being operated as a CDMA mode. An AMPS matching unit(30) connects to an output terminal of a power amplifier(10) and performs a matching when being operated as an AMPS mode. A switch(40) connects to one between the CDMA matching unit(20) and the AMPS matching unit(30) on the basis of a signal provided according to the selection of one between the CDMA and AMPS modes.

PURPOSE: A method for classifying a document area is provided to classify a document area by extracting each characteristic of scanned image data. CONSTITUTION: Scanned image data stored in a memory portion are blocked through a CRLA(Constrained Run Length Algorithm)(21). A coordinate value of a document area is set up after the blocking process is performed(22). A height of divided area, the number of black pixel by unit area within the divided original image, and a mean length of horizontal black pixels within the divided original image are extracted after the coordinate value for the document area is set up(23). A document area is classified by using learning vector quantization(24).

The method is designed to process a picture by converting ODA(Open Document Architecture) format of the picture into ODIF(Open Document Interchange Format) datastream. The device comprises: a central processor (10); a memory section (20); an operation panel section(30); a scanner (40); a communication controller (50); an ISDN interface section (60); and an auxiliary decoder (70). The method includes steps of scanning the material, outputting the scanned data, and performing picture zone configuration in text or image area by the central processor.
Abstract:
A melody producing circuit uses a fax modem for producing the various melody in a facsimile coupled with a multifunctional telephone, and eliminates a melody IC. The method to produce the melody comprises the steps of: detecting the reservation key input; searching the tone data in a memory; reading the tone data and setting the tone data to the fax modem; transmitting the tone data through the telephone line; detecting the end of the tone transmission; and cutting off the tone transmission by turning-off the RTS bit of the fax modem.
