Abstract: The present invention relates to a low power detection device for information display and a method thereof. The present method includes: a step in which a low-power detection management unit activates a near-proximity detection sensor while a mobile terminal is in the standby mode to activate a motion detection sensor when a near-proximity interruption occurs; a step in which the movement of the mobile terminal for a predetermined period of time is determined; and a step in which the near-proximity data is generated to present the display information when no movement of the mobile terminal for the predetermined period of time is detected and the generated near-proximity data is transmitted to an application processor to enable a user to display wanted information on the display while on low power. The navigation algorithm control unit measures the location of the pedestrian terminal by using a corrected value.
