Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing Galla Rhois extract for preventing and treating bovine mastitis is provided to ensure antibacterial effect to pathogen. CONSTITUTION: A veterinary composition for preventing and treating bovine mastitis contains 0.1-50 weight% of Galla Rhois extract as an active ingredient. The Galla Rhois extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture solvent thereof. A feed additive for preventing and treating bovine mastitis contains Galla Rhois extract as an active ingredient. The Galla Rhois extract is added to animal feed by immersing, spraying or mixing.
