Abstract: Provided is a method for operating an RF energy harvesting WSN device with a selective energy storage. The method for operating the device according to an embodiment of the present invention is controlled to store energy in at least one of a first storage and a second storage and executes communications operations separately by determining a determined energy mode. Therefore, the present invention can response rapidly in a low energy mode and execute many tasks in a large energy mode, thereby providing flexibility depending on the situation by a trade-off control between the energy usage and a response speed.
