    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a preparation method of transition metal pnictide powder, wherein the transition metal pnictide powder is economically prepared by reacting transition metal powder with VB group element powder at about ordinary temperature within a short time of several hours using high-energy ball milling. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method comprises a step of mixing transition metal powder with VB group element powder in an atomic mixing ratio of 0.5:1 to 4:1; a step of injecting the mixture into a reactor along with balls having diameter of 5 to 30 mm; a step of charging argon(Ar) into the reactor; a step of simultaneously performing high-energy ball milling on the mixture, and heat treating reaction powder to remove internal stress and defects of powder if necessary.
