Abstract:
PURPOSE: A cooperative service method between information apparatuses supporting heterogeneous control middlewares under home network environment and a method thereof are provided to exchange information between information apparatuses that support heterogeneous control middlewares through a home server, thereby expanding compatibility between the information apparatuses. CONSTITUTION: A home server decides whether control middlewares of more than two information apparatuses selected by a user are the same type(2,4). If so, the home server performs a control middleware operation between the selected information apparatuses(6). If the control middlewares are not the same type, the home server executes an interface module corresponding to the information apparatuses(10). The home server executes a connector, and carries out an interworking function of the heterogeneous control middlewares(12). The home server completes a system or returns to the first step(8).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus of binding devices together is provided to support a binding function even though all variables of devices are not known, to freely perform a binding process, and to supply an easy network configuration method to a network composition manager, thereby constructing an interworking service between apparatuses that are not bound with an existing system. CONSTITUTION: A home server(201) interfaces each network variable having different types and components of the first and second Lonworks devices(207,208), and binds the variables together. The home server(201) mounts a LonWorks network interface. The home server(201) generates a network variable(203) whose type is B and a component is Y, and binds the network variable(203) with a network variable(102) of the first LonWorks device(207). The home server(201) generates a network variable(204) whose type is C and a component is Z, and binds the network variable(204) with a network variable(103) of the second LonWorks device(208). The home server(201) interfaces the network variables(203,204) by a meaningful device binding support of a translator(202).
