Abstract: 본 발명은 방송 신호 수신 장치에 있어서, "PSIP(Program and System Information Protocol) 또는 PSI(Program Specific Information) 내의 RC 기술자(Redistribution Control descriptor) 내에 시그너처를 포함하는 방송 신호"를 수신하는 통신부; 수신된 상기 방송 신호로부터 방송 프로그램 및 프로그램 정보를 추출하는 추출부; 및 상기 추출된 프로그램 정보로부터 상기 프로그램 정보의 변경 여부를 확인하기 위한 검증용 시그너처를 생성하고, 상기 추출된 프로그램 정보에 포함된 상기 시그너처와 상기 검증용 시그너처를 비교하여 상기 프로그램 정보의 유효성을 판단하는 판단부를 포함한다.
본 발명에 따르면, 프로그램 정보에 포함된 시그너처와 프로그램 정보의 변경 여부를 확인하기 위한 검증용 시그너처를 비교하여 프로그램 정보의 유효성을 판단함으로써, 방송 프로그램의 무단 복제 여부를 확인하여 사용을 제한할 수 있다.
