Abstract: PURPOSE: A control device of a power steering for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to improve efficiency of an engine, fuel efficiency and acceleration by controlling operation of the power steering within the proper range. CONSTITUTION: A power steering control device is composed of a vehicle speed detecting unit(10) detecting travel speed of a vehicle and outputting data; a parking detecting unit(20) detecting the parking state; a brake pedal operation detecting unit(30) outputting data by detecting operation of the brake pedal; a controller(40) outputting a driving control signal in repeating operation of the brake pedal by detecting data from detecting units; a pump driving unit(50) supplying oil to a power steering(90) by driving the oil pump; and a clutch driving unit(60) controlling a passage switching part(80) for supplying oil from the oil pump or bypassing to the oil tank. Engine efficiency and fuel efficiency are improved with controlling the power steering.

CONSTITUTION: An engine controlling method for preventing the sudden starting of an automatic transmission vehicle comprises the steps of deciding the stoppage state of a vehicle by receiving a vehicle speed from a vehicle speed sensor(S10), normally controlling a vehicle if the vehicle is not stopped and deciding the operation state of a parking brake if the vehicle is stopped(S20), performing a vehicle safety mode control(I10) if the parking brake is in the off state or deciding the position of a shift lever if the parking brake is not in operation(S30), and performing the vehicle safety mode control when the shift lever is in the parking or neutral range and performing the normal control(N10) if the shift lever is not in the parking or neutral range(S40). Therefore, the sudden starting of a vehicle is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A battery control method for an overdischarge is provided to allow user to check the charging and discharging status of the battery by sensing the battery at each step. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a starter motor, an electric device, a key switch, a battery, an alternator, and a control device. The control device is initialized in case that the key switch is off. An initial one hour is added to the time in which the capacity of the battery is detected. A total time which the capacity of the battery is detected is counted. 25 hours is subtracted from the total time. If the result of the subtraction is the same as the present detecting time or the real voltage is not less than 10 v, the mode is switched to the battery security mode.
