    Abstract: An interface circuit in an electronic device (such as an access point) may receive a setup request associated with the recipient electronic device. The setup request may specify a group address for which the recipient electronic device wants to receive associated frames and a proposed transmission interval. Based at least in part on the proposed transmission interval, the electronic device may determine a transmission schedule and/or may assign, based at least in part on the group address, the recipient electronic device to an aggregated group having a flexible multicast service identifier (FMSID). Then, the electronic device may provide a wake-up frame for the recipient electronic device, where the wake-up frame includes an identifier of the aggregated group for which a group-addressed frame will subsequently be transmitted by the electronic device. Moreover, the wake-up frame may be provided at a transmission time based at least in part on the transmission schedule.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for identity obscuration of a station (STA) connected to a wireless network to prevent the tracking of the STA. Embodiments include a STA configured to establish a security association with an access point (AP) based on an original long term identity for the station and an identity of the AP. The STA can transmit a new long term identity for the STA to the AP based on the security association. The STA can then transmit a request frame to change the original short term identity assigned to the STA to the AP. The STA can receive a response frame from the AP. The response frame can include a new short term identity assigned to the station by the AP. The STA can then map its new long term identity to its new short term identity assigned by the AP.

During operation, the interface circuit may provide a wake-up frame, e.g., a LP-WUR packet, associated with a channel in a band of frequencies, where the wake-up frame is intended for a wake-up radio in a recipient device. Then, the interface circuit may receive, from the recipient device, feedback information associated with a second channel in a second band of frequencies, where the feedback information is associated with a main radio in the recipient device. Based at least in part on the feedback information, the interface circuit may estimate one or more communication metrics associated with the channel in the band of frequencies. Moreover, based at least in part on the one or more communication metrics, the interface circuit may determine a data rate for use in communication via the channel in the band of frequencies.

    Abstract: Methods for scheduling data packets based on a target transmission time may include receiving, from an application layer at a first time, a data packet and an associated latency requirement. The first layer may determine based, at least in part, on the associated latency requirement, a target transmission time. The target transmission time may be a sum of a queuing delay, an expected transmit completion time, and the first time. The data packet may be queued (or scheduled for transmission) based, at least in part, on the target transmission time and an access category assigned to the data packet. The data packet may be transmitted (or scheduled for transmission) from the queue according to the target transmission time. The expected transmit completion time may be a sum of an average contention time for the access category assigned to the data packet and estimated airtime.

    Abstract: Some embodiments include utilizing a multilink media access control (MAC) address structure to support multilink devices (MLDs) that can operate concurrently in more than one link such as extremely high throughput (EHT) access points (APs) and EHT stations (STA), where the multilink MAC address structure is compatible with legacy devices. An EHT AP can utilize a multilink basic service set (BSS) identification (BSSID) MAC address to communicate with an EHT STA identified by a multilink MAC address. Values of the multilink BSSID and the multilink MAC address of the EHT STA are independent of which of the multiple links are used in the communication. In addition, to utilizing a multilink BSSID, the EHT AP can also support unique link-specific MAC addresses to concurrently support legacy and MLD stations. The EHT STA can also utilize unique link-specific MAC addresses that can be different than the EHT AP's link-specific MAC addresses.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for indicating a preference to receive a single-user multiple input multiple output (SU-MIMO) or multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmission from an access point (AP). Embodiments include generating a standard action frame that contains an action field that species a preference to receive a SU-MIMO or MU-MIMO transmission from the AP. A station (STA) can transmit the generated action frame to the AP. The STA can receive an acknowledgement frame from the AP that indicates the AP is configured to use the requested transmission method. The STA can then receive data from the AP using the requested transmission method.

    Abstract: An electronic device (such as an access point) that performs a remedial action is described. This electronic device may transmit, using a first radio in the electronic device, a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) to a recipient electronic device on a first link between the electronic device and the recipient electronic device, where the PPDU includes a PPDU preamble and a set of media access control (MAC) protocol data units (MPDUs). Then, the electronic device may receive, using a second radio in the electronic device, feedback from the recipient electronic device on a second link between the electronic device and the recipient electronic device. Next, the electronic device may perform the remedial action based at least in part on the feedback. For example, the electronic device may abort the PPDU transmission and/or retransmit one or more of the set of MPDUs.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods for conducting multilink communications between a user equipment (UE) device and a remote device over a wireless local area network (WLAN). The UE device periodically transmits communications to the remote device over a first frequency band on the WLAN using a first radio. The UE device may determine to switch from transmitting communications to the remote device over the first frequency band to transmitting said communications over a second frequency band. The UE device then transmits communications to the remote device over the second frequency band on the WLAN.
