Abstract: Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for provisioning of wireless local area network (WLAN) traffic load measurements to third generation partnership project 3GPP wireless cellular networks. A WLAN element manager (EM) may include a polling module to poll a WLAN access point (AP), the polling to request traffic load data from the WLAN AP; a timer module to trigger the polling module to poll at periodic intervals; a logging module to receive and log the requested traffic load data; and an integration reference point (IRP) agent including a reporting module to generate a traffic load report for transmission to a network manager (NM), the traffic load report based on the logged traffic load data.

Abstract: An apparatus of a management service equipment includes processing circuitry. To configure the management service equipment for E2E performance measurements in a 5G network with a plurality of network functions (NFs), the processing circuitry is to decode RAN latency received from a RAN within the 5G network. The RAN latency is associated with transmission of an Internet protocol (IP) packet between a UE and a data network (DN) via the RAN. A user plane function (UPF) latency associated with communication of the IP packet between the RAN and a UPF within the 5G network is determined. A DN latency associated with communication of the IP packet between the UPF and the DN is determined. An E2E performance measurement calculation is performed to determine an E2E latency associated with communicating the IP packet between the UE and the DN based on the RAN latency, the UPF latency, and the DN latency.

Abstract: Devices and methods of providing performance measurements (PMs) for Network Function Virtualization are generally described. A Virtual Network Function (VNF) PM job is scheduled at a VNF and VNF PM data received in response. From the VNF PM data, it is determined that virtualized resource (VR) management may be a cause of poor VNF performance. A VR PM job is scheduled and results in VR PM data. The VR PM and VNF PM data are analyzed to determine whether to increase the VR at the VNF. If an increase is determined, a request for the increase is transmitted from an element manager to a VNF manager or the VNF PM and/or VR PM data are provided to a Network Manager (NM) for the NM to request the increase by a Network Function Virtualization Orchestrator (NFVO).

Abstract: Embodiments of an Evolved Node-B (eNB), shared spectrum controller and methods for communication in shared spectrum are generally described herein. A mobile network shared spectrum controller may operate as part of a domain of a mobile network. A public shared spectrum controller may operate externally to the mobile network domain. The mobile network shared spectrum controller and the public shared spectrum controller may operate cooperatively to perform operations of a shared spectrum controller, such as management of secondary usage of shared spectrum by a group of eNBs. The mobile network shared spectrum controller may obfuscate at least a portion of network configuration information from the public shared spectrum controller to enable maintenance of confidential information within the mobile network domain.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for carrying out performance measurement monitoring. Specifically, a consumer seeking performance measurement monitoring transmits a request to a management service producer that includes the parameters of the monitoring, such as the type of data to be monitored, a granularity period and one or more threshold values. In response, the management service producer communicates with a network function to carry out the monitoring. In particular, for each granularity period, a monitoring value is initialized. Then, either at the end of the granularity period or at intervals throughout the granularity period, the monitoring value is measured. If, at the time of measurement, the measurement value exceeds any one of the threshold values, a notification is transmitted to the consumer. Otherwise, monitoring continues for the remainder of the granularity period and/or is repeated for subsequent granularity periods.
