Abstract: A next generation evolved Node B (gNB) configured to provide an unlicensed bandwidth for communications with a user equipment (UE) performs a listen-before-talk procedure to determine an occupation state of busy or idle for the unlicensed bandwidth. When the occupation state is determined by the gNB to be idle, the gNB signals the UE, via a downlink control indicator (DCI), to conduct a channel access measurement (CAM) on the unlicensed bandwidth, the measurement comprising at least one of an energy detection measurement or a signal quality measurement. A measurement report is received from the UE comprising an indication of the occupation state of the unlicensed bandwidth as determined by the UE.

Abstract: A network mitigates paging false alarms. Abstract: A network may authenticate a user equipment (UE) to access an edge data network. The network generates a first credential based on a second credential, the second credential generated for a procedure between the UE and a cellular network corresponding to the network component, receives an identifier associated with the first credential from a further network component in response to the UE transmitting an application registration request to a server associated with an edge data network and retrieves the first credential based on the identifier. The network also receives a multi-access edge computing (MEC) authorization parameter, verifies the MEC authorization parameter and transmits an authentication verification response to a second network component.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using a relay user equipment (UE) to transport data of interest received from a first remote UE to a second remote UE on a UE to UE relay within a wireless communication system are discussed herein. These methods may be performed at Layer 2 of a protocol stack of the wireless communication system. Data packets sent on the UE to UE relay may include an adaptation header including routing information (e.g., Layer 2 addresses, a bearer-specific index, etc.) for the UE to UE relay. An adaptation layer may accordingly be provided within Layer 2 to decode these adaptation headers. In some cases, a per-bearer approach may be used to map between individual direct bearers of a hop by hop path configuration of the UE to UE relay. Embodiments eschewing the adaptation header and instead using logical channel identifiers (LCIDs) to make routing indications are also described.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured with information to perform conditional handovers or addition/change of a primary secondary cell (PSCell). The UE receives a first radio resource control (RRC) configuration message from the source cell for conditional handover to the at least one target cell, the first RRC configuration message including conditional handover execution conditions, an RRC configuration and a target cell ID for each one of a list of target cells, performs measurements on the target cells to determine whether any one of the target cells fulfills its corresponding conditional handover execution conditions and, when a first target cell from the list of target cells fulfills its corresponding conditional handover execution conditions, initiates a handover to the first target cell.
