Abstract:
A gas-phase process for the homopolymerization or copolymerization of propylene with other olefins, including carrying out the polymerization in the presence of a catalyst system made from or containing: (a) a solid catalyst component made from or containing Mg, Ti, halogen, an electron donor selected from 1.3-diethers and an olefin polymer in a specific amount; (b) an aluminum alkyl compound and (c) an external electron donor (ED) compound, wherein components (b) and (c) being employed in amounts such that the Al/(ED) molar ratio ranges from about 2 to about 200.
Abstract:
Spherical adducts comprising a MgCl 2 , an alcohol ROH in which R is a C1-C10 hydrocarbon group, present in a molar ratio with MgCl 2 ranging from 0.5 to 6 and less than 20% mol based on the mol of MgCl 2 of a compound of formula Mg(OR 1 ) 2 in which R 1 is selected from C1-C10 alkyl groups or R 2 CO groups in which R 2 is selected from C1-C6 alkyl or aryl groups.
Abstract:
Solid adducts comprising MgCl2 and an alcohol ROH in which R is a C1-C20 hydrocarbon group, in which the amount of alcohol ranges from higher than 42% to 60% by weight and the porosity determined with Hg method due to pores up to 1 μm and expressed in cm3/g, is such that the value of its ratio with the amount of alcohol in percentage falls above the straight line defined by the equation y=−0.0158x+1.03 in which y is the porosity of the adduct and x is the alcohol percentage by weight.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to catalysts component for the polymerization of ethylene and its mixtures with olefins CH 2 =CHR, wherein R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical having 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising Ti, Mg, halogen, and electron donor belonging to 1,2-diethers as internal electron donor compound. The catalyst of the invention is suitably used in (co)polymerization processes of ethylene to prepare (co)polymers having narrow Molecular Weight Distribution (MWD) and high bulk density.
Abstract:
Catalyst precursors comprising Mg, Cl, Ti, and OR groups that are in molar ratios defined by the formula MgClnTip(OR)(2-n)+4p in which n is from 0.3 to less than 1.7, p is lower than 0.6, the molar ratio (OR)/Cl is lower than 4 and R is Cl -C15 hydrocarbon groups. The said precursor, just upon activation with organo-Al compounds, are able to advantageously polymerize ethylene and alpha olefins, and that upon reaction with halogenating compounds generate in high yields catalyst components with high polymerization activity particularly in the polymerization of propylene also in combination with 1,3-diethers.
