PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment ink composition which has neither bleeding nor feathering, excels in weatherability and storage stability of an image, and can form a clear image. SOLUTION: The ink composition is a composition containing at least a block polymer having a polyalkenyl ether for a main chain structure, a solvent and a pigment, in which the above block polymer and the above pigment form particles, the mean particle diameter of the particles is 80 nm or less, and the dispersion index of the above particles in the above composition is 0.15 or less. In addition, the ink composition is a composition in which the above pigment is occluded by the above block polymer and forms the particles, the mean particle diameter of the particles is 80 nm or less, and the dispersion index of the above particles in the above composition is 0.15 or less. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink which gives a printed matter having high image fastness such as water resistance or light resistance and is excellent in color developing property and preservation stability, and an ink-imparting device using the same. SOLUTION: The ink comprises at least a coloring agent, comprising a composite particle of a coloring material with an inorganic fine particle, a polymer dispersant and a solvent, where the polymer dispersant comprises a block copolymer having a polyvinyl ether structure containing a hydrophilic segment and a hydrophobic segment. The recording device for inkjet is equipped with an ink-imparting means for imparting a medium with the ink by applying energy to the ink and a driving means for driving the ink-imparting means. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink in a coloring particle-dispersed type, providing a printed product having high image fastness such as water resistance, light resistance and gas resistance, and especially having excellent dispersion stability. SOLUTION: The water-based ink contains water-insoluble coloring particles, a block copolymer having a polyvinyl ether structure containing a hydrophilic segment and a hydrophobic segment, and water. The coloring particle is covered with the block copolymer, and the weight of the hydrophobic segment contained in the block copolymer is ≥4 mg per m 2 surface area of the covered coloring particle. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black ink for ink-jet recording enabling stable recording of an image having high fastness and excellent picture quality over a long period independent of the recording condition. SOLUTION: The black ink for ink-jet recording is composed of a polymer dispersant, a water-insoluble coloring material, a water-soluble organic solvent and water. The water-insoluble coloring material is one or more materials selected from C.I.Solvent Black 3, C.I.Solvent Black 27, C.I.Solvent Black 29 and C.I.Solvent Black 45, and the polymer dispersant is a block copolymer composed of a hydrophobic block and a hydrophilic block and produced by polymerizing a vinyl ether as the monomer.
