Abstract:
Disclosed are oral care compositions and the use of such oral care compositions for treating or preventing oral malodor. Also disclosed are methods for treatment or prevention of oral malodor. The oral care compositions include serine in an amount effective to reduce oral malodor caused by hydrogen sulfide and/or indole.
Abstract:
Provided herein is an oral care composition comprising taurine or a salt thereof in an amount of from 0.001 weight % to 0.008 weight % by total weight of the composition, and an orally acceptable carrier. The composition is effective in accelerating HSP 27 production in damaged tissues of the oral cavity and enhances repair of the damaged tissue.
Abstract:
A composition comprising a solubilized magnolol analog comprising at least one magnolol analog chosen from propyl magnolol, isopropyl magnolol, butyl magnolol, and isobutyl magnolol, and PPG-1-PEG-9 lauryl glycol ether. These solubilized analogs are useful in personal care, oral care, and home care compositions to provide anti-bacterial activity and reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory mediators.
Abstract:
Described herein are dentifrice compositions comprising a zinc-containing salt and carboxypeptidase, wherein the zinc-containing salt is not sequestered.
Abstract:
The present invention encompasses an oral treatment composition containing an anti-adhesion agent, preferably a cysteine protease and most preferably ficin. In another aspect, the cysteine protease is in combination with one or more ingredients, such as antibacterial agent and surfactant. The anti-adhesion agent mitigates interaction between a subject oral cavity and plaque-forming materials.
