    Abstract: A ground surface consolidation system has at least one slab-shaped ground covering element (1) which can be walked or driven over, in particular an element made of highly resistant concrete and provided with a plurality of vertical flow passages (2) for surface water. These passages have an inflow section (4) which tapers in the flow direction (3) and have the shape of a cone or truncated pyramid, ending at an outflow section (5) with a constant or widening cross-section. A filter element (10) made of porous material and having the shape of a cone or truncated pyramid is set into the inflow section (4).
