A transmission frame and a telecommunications device (60, 65, 70) having a transmission frame (1) are proposed, which are used to transmit short messages (5) in a telecommunications network (10), in particular in a radiotelecommunications network. By means of the transmission frame (1), especially flexible transmission of short messages (5) in the telecommunications network (10) is possible. At least two data fields (15, 20, 25, 30) are provided. Data of a short message (5) are stored in memory in the data fields (15, 20, 25, 30). Data in a first data format are stored in a first data field (15), and data in a second data format, different from the first data format, are stored in a second data field (20).

A method of assigning transmission channels in a telecommunications network and a user station are provided, which facilitate an increase in the capacity of a telecommunications network. The telecommunications network may include multiple base stations and mobile stations, the transmission channels being provided for transmitting signals between the base stations and the mobile stations. In uncoordinated operation of the base stations, at least one of the transmission channels is assigned for transmitting signals between one of the base stations and one of the mobile stations as a function of a channel measurement, in which the transmission power on all possible transmission channels is measured, if the previously measured transmission power on this transmission channel is minimal.

In a method for the conditional setting-up of a telecommunication conference session with a multiplicity of telecommunication conference session user terminals, wherein a group of user terminals having at least one telecommunication conference session user terminal is identified by means of a telecommunication conference session user group identification, a predefined telecommunication conference session set-up condition is checked by involving two telecommunication conference session servers. A first telecommunication conference session server receives an enquiry for the conditional setting-up of a telecommunication conference session and a second telecommunication conference session server determines condition-related information for checking the predefined telecommunication conference session set-up condition.

A method of encrypting data, a telecommunications terminal and an access authorization card are described, which permit utilization of services of one or more service providers independently of a network operator or manufacturer of the telecommunications terminal. Encrypted data is transmitted between a service provider and the telecommunications terminal over a telecommunications network. Data to be transmitted over the telecommunications network is encrypted as a function of the service provider selected.
Abstract:
A method for transmission of data signals between a master station and multiple slave stations, as well as a master station and a slave station are provided, permitting distortion of predistorted data signals. Data signals are transmitted between the master station and multiple slave stations via wireless channels, data signals for different slave stations being spread using different codes in the master station, a predistortion of the data signals to be transmitted being performed, and in predistortion the transmission properties of all wireless channels and the different codes are considered. The data signals to be transmitted are predistorted by filtering in the master station.
Abstract:
A method for operating a mobile radio network is proposed which makes possible improved error protection of the control data to be transmitted while requiring as small a transmission bandwidth as possible. In this context, payload data is transmitted in payload data packets. The payload data packets are each assigned at least one header information item containing control data for routing the payload data packets in the mobile radio network. The control data and the payload data are transmitted with different error protection.
