    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision of calibrated data and to prevent a scene component from being intruded in the calibrated data by sampling a local area of a size required to generate the calibrated data, evaluating a degree of an amount of the scene component included in a distribution of output levels of elements in the area and generating the calibrated data, while reducing the size of the local area depending on the magnitude of the evaluation result. SOLUTION: Results of calculation by each of size mean value calculation sections 20-1-20-n in a calibration data generating section 2, that is a part for conducting real time correction processing in a sensitivity correction circuit, are given to a size selection section 21. On the other hand, each calculation result by area homogeneous degree calculation sections 30-1-30-n in an area homogeneous degree evaluation section 3 is compared with each threshold value of a size-depending homogeneous degree threshold value setting memory 31 at each of comparator sections 32, a proper size decision section 33 decides a proper size, and the result is outputted to a size selection section 21 as size information. Then one of proper sizes is selected, based on this information and a corresponding local area mean value is fed to an adder 22.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To more quickly discriminate a target by a method wherein in the course of guiding and pursuing the target using outputs from an infrared sensor, a judge ment wether a targer image is separated from a flare image is executed through a hardware like means. CONSTITUTION:Picture elements of a two-dimensional image formed by H of binarized signals of outputs from a sensor are integrated for every specified number of lines in the four directions; orthogonal x and y directions, and +45 deg. and -45 deg. directions from either one of x and y in the clockwise and anticlockwise directions. Boundaries between two or more regions where a target image and a hindrance radiation source image seem to exist are discriminated according to the fact that the number of commencement and completion of integration outputs at the specified number of lines in each direction is plural. After that, an average signal intensity or image size for every regions is compared with a reference value to discriminate the target image from the hindrance radiation source image.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive a longer life of a detector by a method wherein the level of input infrared rays to be detected with the detector to control a variable opening stop according to the level and a proper quantity of light received is applied to the detector to eliminate operating disturbance. CONSTITUTION:A detector 3 converts infrared rays incident via a lens 1 and a variable opening stop part 11 into an analog signal to be applied to a signal processing section 21. The signal processing section 21 converts the signal into a digital image signal to be sent to a display/image processing section 22 and an infrared image of a target object is shown on a display device. The digital image signal is also sent to a detecting section 23, with which a p-p(peak-peak) value of the signal per frame of the digital image is detected. The p-p value is smoothed with a smoothing processing section 24 to output the maximum value of the image signal per frame and the maximum value is compared with a reference value by a difference computing section 25 to obtain a difference value. The difference value is converted into an analog signal with an A/D converter 26 to be amplified in power with a power amplifier 27 and the results are applied to the stop part 11 to control a specified opening area.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an output image easy to observe corresponding to environment where a display device is placed, etc., by providing an accumulative histogram calculation part, a historgram shape conversion part, and a luminance conversion part. CONSTITUTION:A historgram calculation part 20 is comprised so as to obtain frequency of accumulation for the luminance of a digital image input signal, and the historgram shape conversion part 21 is comprised so as to set output luminance for obtained frequency of accumulation arbitrarily by a user, and outputs luminance rewrite information to generate the characteristic of luminance to output liminance of the digital image input signal. The luminance conversion part 23 generates the characteristic of input luminance to output luminance which converts the digital image input signal from the image delay part 22 based on the luminance rewrite information. In such a way, the user can freely select the optimum contrast corresponding to the environment where the display device is placed, and obtain the output image easy to observe than ever.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain the automatic extension of a loop and the quick recovery of a communication system by providing a means commanding the maintenance or release of loopback constitution based on the reception state of a signal on the transmission line of a required node after the loopback constitution is set. CONSTITUTION:When the loopback is constituted as shown in the figure, for example, a loopback control section 46 commands loopback setting, e.g., from the system 0 to the system 1 to nodes 34, 35. When transmission lines 41, 43 are normal and both the nodes are recovered, a loopback shown in broken lines is set in both the nodes 34, 35. Then the loopback control section 46 inquires about the state to the end node 36 of the loopback loop and detects that the reception from the outside of the loop is normal, the section 46 commands the loopback release to the node 36 to extend the loop up to the node 34, inquires similarly about the state to the node 34, and when the state is normal, the section 46 commands the loopback release.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain automatic test and to fcilitate automatic changeover of active/standby state by sending periodically a test data to the own device from one communication equipment and receiving the data by the other communication equipment and checking the coincidence with the stored test data in a duplicated communication connected to a single communication line. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor (MP) 14 of an active communication equipment 30 generates interruption at each setting time of a timer 35 and a test data 34 stored in a memory 34 is sent to a communication line 1. The test data 34 has a frame system shown in figure and a data part is a data suitable for fault detection. The frame is stored in both memories 32 of communication equipments 30, 31 in advance as a test data of the same content. The standby communication equipment 31 is always in the reception waiting state. The equipment 31 compares the received frame with the stored test data 34 and when the result of comparison is dissident, it is regarded as the presence of a fault in the active communication equipment 30 to set a fault display register 41 into the abnormity state. Thus, the MP 14 of the both the equipments apply the changeover of active/standby state.
