A mobile terminal includes: a terminal body having a case formed of a metallic material at least partially; a metal key unit formed on one region of the case, and configured to sense a pressure of a touch input; and a controller configured to execute a specific function based on a pressure applied to the metal key unit, wherein the metal key unit includes: a flexible printed circuit board attached to a lower part of the case; and a pressure sensor configured to sense a pressure applied to the case.

A circuit in a mobile terminal for measuring heartbeat/stress. The circuit includes a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor having first and second green light-emitting diodes (LEDs); first and second LED drivers respectively connected to the first and second green LEDS and respectively configured to drive the first and second green LEDs; and a processor configured to control the first and second LED drivers to alternately turn on the first and second green LEDs within one driving period to respectively produce first and second PPG signals, and measure a user's heartbeat/stress using the first and second PPG signals that have a corresponding signal quality equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold.

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal of which a locked status can be switched to an unlocked status on the basis of a drag input or at least one touch input, and to a method for controlling the same, the mobile terminal comprising: a display unit for displaying image information; a sensing unit for sensing at least one touch input exerted onto the display unit or a drag input applied after the touch input and for sensing a fingerprint of a finger which touches the display unit for the touch input or the drag input; and a control unit for switching a locked status, in which reception of a control command is restricted, to an unlocked status, on the basis of a touch pattern which is formed by the at least one touch input or the drag input which is applied after the touch input or of at least one fingerprint which is sensed when the touch input or the drag input is applied.
