Abstract:
There is provided a method for determining a handover. The method may comprise: determining, by User Equipment (UE), whether a timer is running, wherein the UE has accessed multiple Radio Access Technologies (RATs); if the timer is not running, performing, by the UE, a handover of a data traffic, which has been routed onto a Wireless LAN (WLAN), to an original RAT; and if the timer is running, not performing, by the UE, the handover of the data traffic, which has been routed onto the WLAN, to the original RAT. The data traffic may be been routed onto the WLAN as a result of Circuit Switched Fall-Back (CSFB) or 3GPP RAT mobility.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and a device for updating an area of a terminal. A method for processing an area update request of a terminal in a network node, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving an area update request message from the terminal; and determining whether or not the area update request is accepted on the basis of indication information included in the area update request message when the network is in a congestion state, wherein if the indication information indicates that the terminal has moved to a new area that is not registered, it can be determined that the area update request has been accepted.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for processing a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling request. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for enabling a terminal to perform the NAS signaling process in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving a first message comprising information for indicating network failure from a network node of a first network; starting a timer related to network selection; and selecting a second network among the network candidates except for the first network when the timer related to network selection is operated.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system is disclosed. More particularly, a control method and device based on multiple priorities in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method for controlling a back-off timer in a terminal configured with multiple non-access stratum, NAS, signaling priorities, comprises checking if a back-off timer runs due to a rejection of a first request message having a first NAS signaling priority level; and transmitting a second request message without a NAS signaling priority level to a network, when the back-off timer runs due to the rejection, wherein the transmission of the second request message is performed without stopping the back-off timer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, to a method and apparatus for performing or supporting inter-UE transfer (IUT). The method for performing a IUT operation with first user equipment (UE) or second UE by means of an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) network node includes the steps of: receiving, from a remote end, a message including IUT restriction-related information on the remote end; receiving a message including an IUT request from the first UE; and determining whether or not to perform the IUT operation according to the IUT request on the basis of the OUT restriction-related information on the remote end.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for performing a detach procedure in a terminal. The method includes the steps of: receiving a detach request message from an entity within a network; if the type in the detach request message indicates “re-attach required”, stopping a first timer if the first timer is running; stopping a second timer if the second timer is running, and transmitting a detach accept message to the entity within the network.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for a user equipment for supporting a multitude of radio access technologies. The method can comprise a step of receiving information on an inter-system routing policy from a server. The information includes a filter rule information, wherein the the filter rule information can further comprise at least one of a domain information and a content type information, and a list which is organized according to the priority of access technologies or access networks which are supported by the user equipment. The method can further comprise a step of transmitting a data traffic to be transmitted, by using at least one access technology or a network that is decided according to the filter rule information, wherein the object of the data traffic, which is transmitted through the one access technology or the network, can be data which is transmitted to an access point name (APN) which is defined by the routing policy.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile communication system and, more particularly, to a method for performing offline indication of a machine type communication (MTC) device in an MTC service. A network entity checks (or searches) whether or not an MTC device is out of monitoring or management because it is in an offline state. A network entity repeatedly transmits a signal for checking whether or not the UE is currently in an offline state to the UE during operation time of a timer, namely, during a detection time, or checks a signal (e.g., a message of an attach procedure, a message of a location registration procedure, and the like) transmitted by the UE during the detection time to check whether or not the UE is in an offline state. When the UE is checked to be in an offline state, the network entity informs an MTC server or an MTC user accordingly, to thus automatically manage a loss, malfunction, or the like, of the MTC device.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of controlling a session in a serving server taking charge of the control plane within a mobile communication network. The control method may include receiving, by the serving server, a tracking area update (TAU) request message of a terminal from a target base station; retrieving, by the serving server, a previous server that has taken charge of the control plane for the terminal; receiving, by the serving server and from the retrieved previous server, a context response message comprising information indicating that a session for the terminal had been established to be passed through a path over the nodes within a fixed network different from a mobile communication network; deciding, by the serving server, whether gateway relocation is needed; releasing, by the serving server, the established session; transmitting, by the serving server, an accept message comprising information for the processing result to the terminal through the target base station; and establishing, by the serving server a session passing through a path over the nodes within a fixed network different from a mobile communication network based on the information.
