Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for efficient signaling of feedback regarding communications of a relaying operation. In some aspects, a relay node may defer feedback regarding reception of a first communication until relaying feedback regarding the payload of the first communication, thereby reducing overhead and signaling burden. In some aspects, a relay node may skip the transmission of feedback regarding the first communication altogether, either on the assumption that the link between the relay node and the first wireless node is reliable, or on the basis of the first wireless node being able to infer the reception of the first communication based on subsequent communications. In some aspects, a relay node may be enabled to skip forwarding of feedback from a second wireless node, such that the first wireless node can infer that the payload was received if no negative feedback associated with the payload is received.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may concurrently configure repeaters in a wireless communications system via multicast control messaging. The base station may identify a quantity of repeaters in communication with the base station. Some repeaters may be in communication with the base station via other repeaters, for example in a chain configuration. The base station may prepare a multicast message including control information for the quantity of repeaters. In some examples, the base station may transmit the multicast message directly to each repeater in the quantity of repeaters, which may be referred to as a single hop control transmission. In some examples, the base station may transmit the multicast message via one or more chains of repeaters, which may be referred to as a multi-hop control transmission. The described techniques may include improved repeater operations and promote efficient repeater communications, among other benefits.

Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to systems, devices, apparatuses, products, and methods for wireless communication. For example, a communication system may include a repeater that relays communications between communication devices. The repeater determines a downlink gain value to use for one or more downlink initial access messages received at the repeater. The repeater determines an uplink gain value to use for one or more downlink initial access messages received at the repeater. The uplink gain value is based on the downlink gain value and a noise level related to a channel between the communication device and the repeater. The repeater receives a downlink initial access message, and applies the downlink gain value to the downlink initial access message. The repeater receives an uplink initial access message, and applies the uplink gain value to the uplink initial access message.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to establishing a control connection with at least a first node for receiving control information for providing a repeater function for two or more upstream nodes, communicating control information over the control connection from at least the first node, and providing, based on the control information, the repeater function between at least a first upstream node of the two or more upstream nodes and at least one downstream node and between at least a second upstream node of the two or more upstream nodes and the at least one downstream node or at least another downstream node.

Abstract: All or a portion of a timeslot of a slotted communication system may be dynamically designated for transmitting or for receiving. For example, a timeslot originally designated for receiving information at a wireless node may be temporarily designated for transmitting information from the wireless node. Such a designation may be made to accommodate a temporary asymmetry in traffic flow between wireless nodes or may be made based on other criteria. In some aspects, a resource utilization messaging scheme may be employed to mitigate interference associated with the designation of timeslots for transmitting or receiving.
