    Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a tape type optical recording medium (1) has a transparent guide (2) on which guide tracks (3) are precisely formed. A scanning beam (4) is controlled so as to scan along the guide tracks (3) and is converged on the recording surface (1A) of the tape type recording medium (1). The accuracy of the recording tracks (3) on the tape (1) is equivalent to that of the guide tracks (3). In this way, recording tracks (3) can be precisely formed on the tape (1) without the step required in the prior art methods of pre-forming guide tracks on the recording medium (1).

    Abstract: A light beam scanning system in which a light beam is provided with the automatic focus correction, which comprises a flat carrier having a reflective front surface and a antireflective or reflective rear surface substantially parallel to the front surface, first and second lens assemblies positioned against the rear and front surfaces, respectively, an optical assembly provided for making a light beam path between the first and second lens assemblies and a light source. A light beam emitted from the light source is guided to the rear surface of the carrier through the first lens assembly and reflected on the front surface after passing through the inside of the carrier or on the rear surface, then guided to the front surface from the outside through the first lens assembly, the path made between the first and second lens assemblies and the second lens assembly. The first and second lens assemblies are arranged so that their respective image magnifications satisfy a specific interrelation, thereby to establish the autofocusing of the light beam. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention This invention relates generally to a system which makes n light beam scan a flat carrier for reading signals recorded thereon or recording signals thereon, and more particularly to such a system in which the scanning light beam keeps a predetermined focus condition on the carrier in spite of the deviation of the carrier from a predetermined position. Description of the Prior Art It has been proposed to record optically signals, for example, a video signal on a flat record carrier and/or read optically signals recorded on the flat record carrier with a light beam scanning the surface of the flat record carrier.     Abstract: A beam index type color television receiver having a beam index type color cathode ray tube which includes a screen having a plurality of groups of color phosphor elements and index phosphor elements, an index signal sensing device for detecting index signals from the index phosphor elements and generating index pulses, a frequency multiplier for providing a timing signal with a frequency that is a multiple of the frequency of the index pulses, a gate signal generator supplied with the timing signal from the frequency multiplier and generating a plurality of gate signals, a gate circuit for sequentially selecting, response to the gate signals three primary color signals desired from an input video signal and supplying the selected primary color signals to the cathode ray tube, and a velocity modulating device for modulating the beam scanning velocity of the cathode ray tube. To control the modulation of the beam scanning velocity, a video signal level detecting circuit detects the level of the input video signal, and a velocity modulating signal generating circuit supplies a velocity modulating signal to the velocity modulating circuit in response both to the output of the video signal level detecting circuit and to the timing of the index pulses.

    Abstract: In a signal play-back device having a substantially flat record carrier or disc provided with first and second oppositely facing reflective surfaces and a signal recorded as variations in at least the second surface, and an optical system in which a first lens directs a laser light beam against the first record carrier surface for reflection by the latter and passage back through the first lens for focussing by the latter at an image point remote from the first record carrier surface, and a second lens effects a predetermined focussing of such image point at the second record carrier surface for scanning the recorded signal variations, with the light beam reflected from the latter, and having corresponding variations in its beam energy, passing back through the second lens toward a light detector for providing an output corresponding to such variations in beam energy, and in which the first and second lenses have magnification factors for maintaining the predetermined focussing of the image point at the second record carrier surface irrespective of movements of the latter toward and away from the second lens; a third lens is interposed in the path of the light beam between the second lens and the light detector and is dimensioned and positioned to focus, at the plane of the light-receiving surface of the light detector, a plane which is spaced from the second lens toward the third lens by a distance equal to the focal length of the second lens.

    Abstract: In a color picture tube having an electron gun within the neck portion of its envelope for directing and focusing a plurality of electron beams at a color phosphor screen on a face plate of the conical envelope portion, a first high voltage for operation of the gun is supplied to the latter through a conductive layer on the inner surface of the conical envelope portion, and a second high voltage required for operation of the gun is supplied to the latter by way of a lead wire extending within the conical envelope portion through a conductive tubular member which is electrically connected with the conductive layer and insulated from the lead wire. The conductive tubular member is electrically connected with the conductive layer by an arcuate spring member which further serves to accurately and securely position the tubular member and the lead wire therein within the tube envelope, thereby ensuring proper engagement with the gun of a contact member that extends from the lead wire.
