Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a noise component from being wrongly detected as the movement of a picture by a movement detecting circuit, by controlling the gain of a gain controlling amplifier by means of the movement detecting signal of video signals and input field intensity detecting signals. CONSTITUTION:Means 4-6 which detect the 1-field or 1-frame difference signals of video signals and a means 3 which subtracts signals obtained by passing the 1-field or 1-frame signals through a gain controlling amplifier (multiplier) 8 from the video signals are provided and the gain of the amplifier 8 is controlled by using signals SM detecting the movement of the video signals and signals SC detecting the intensity of an inputted electric field. Since the coefficient K of the multiplier 8 is controlled in accordance with both of the movement detecting signals and the intensity of the inputted electric field in such way, the coefficient K can be prevented from being wrongly detected as small one when noise components are abundant at the time of middle-weak input electric field.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the large-sized picture of a high definition by converting the scanning of an input video signal of means of a memory, connecting the divided videos in respective divided video display screens to make them as one large video, and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:Electron guns 6a, 6b are disposed corresponding to the divided video display screens 2a, 2b of a video display tube 1, and thus the tube 1 is constituted as an independent composite tube of beam index type. In the line memory 10 of a memory 7a for the video display screen 2a, the leading half-share of one horizontal scanning cycle is written, and the rear half is writ ten in the line memory 10 of a memory 7b for the video display screen 2b. The composite signals thus written in the memory 10 are read out simultaneous ly during the following horizontal scanning cycle, and supplied to the respective electron guns 6a, 6b via a D/A converter and decoder circuit 12, an R, G, B signal switcher 13, and a video amplifier 14. Divided videos are displayed on the divided video display screens 2a, 2b..., which are obtained in form of one video as a whole.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a picture quality superior by displaying the velocity of vertical and horizontal frequencies as doubled and processing a motion adaptive interpolation that is different at a still picture part or a moving picture part. CONSTITUTION:Double velocity conversion means 9, 12 and 15 which convert a received television signal of an MUSE system to the television signal having a double vertical and a double horizontal frequencies respectively are prepared and picture images converted from those are displayed on a color picture tube 20. Also, at the double velocity conversion means, an inter-4 fields interpolation means 12 and a within-field interpolation means 9 are provided anda the inte-4 fields interpolation means 12 and the within-field interpolation means 9 are controlled by the output of a means 14 which detects the motion of the picture image. And at the still picture part, a double velocity conversion is performed through the inter-4 fields interpolation means 12 and at the moving picture part, the double velocity conversion is performed through the within-field interpolation means 9. Thus, sufficient resolution power is obtained and deterioration, such as a two-wire disturbance etc., is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a compact projector free of image distortion and color aberration and capable of adjusting the size of the picture and white balance by providing plural transmitting liquid crystals that polarize the incident colored lights and the polarizing plates that transmit the polarized colored lights. CONSTITUTION:In the vicinity of liquid crystals 11, 15, and 18, detector elements 39-41 made of photoelectric elements are provided. These detector elements 39-41 detect the colored lights that passed through crystals 11, 15, and 18, and its detection signals are inputted to a white balance adjuster 36. The detector elements 39-41 are disposed so as to detect the colored lights that penetrate the areas other than the usual picture areas of the liquid crystals 11, 15, and 18. Thus, plural cathode rays are not used and the liquid crystal matrix is not deflected by a high voltage like CTR, therefore, the peripheral circuitries are minimized to provided a compact device.
