    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve easiness to use and convenience of an AV system and the like structured by connecting mutually by an IEEE1394. SOLUTION: As operation of STR side, when other equipment existing on an IEEE1394 bus is selected, PING control command being selection notice information is transmitted in accordance with performing operation of a display key. In an equipment side receiving this PING control command, display indicating that self-equipment is selected for a self-display section is performed. That is, in an equipment side selected by the STR, display of being selected is performed so as to indicate that a self-equipment is selected. By this constitution, for example, display variation as display being selected is obtained in the display section of an equipment being selected responding to operation of a display key. It can be confirmed easily and visually that the equipment is an equipment being selected by watching this condition by a user.

A library controllor 2 obtains and also stores correction values based on dimensional errors among respective consoles 1B to 1D and among the respective consoles 1B to 1D and the cassette conveying machine 16 by controlling the recording and reproducing means and the machine 16 and also by moving the machine 16 for searches and also obtains and stores coordinates of typical angular windows of the respective consoles 1B to 1D based on these correction values and then it calculates coordinates of the housing parts from these correction values and the coordinates of the typical angular windows.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict generation of troubles when an optical disk records and rotate the optical disk at high speed by detecting a rotation speed of a recording medium and irradiating the recording medium with a light of a determined optimum read power. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 20 for control reads out an amplification factor for RF signals, an amplification factor for FE signals and an offset value of the FE signals from a memory 21 and sets the values to an RF process part 17. The RF process part 17 generates RF signals and FE signals on the basis of the set amplification factors. The microcomputer 20 controls a laser control part 16 to project a laser light of a read power (P1) at a rotation speed time from an optical pickup 11 to the signal face of an optical disk 3, and sets the amplification factor. Then, a laser light higher than the read power (P1) is emitted to the optical disk 3 to set the amplification factor of the RF process part. Correct reproduction with the read power at a high double speed is carried out accordingly.

The counting means 160 is initialized for each arrival of the cassette at a reference position by the initialization control means 161. Thus, pulse position shifting is prevented from affecting a next carrying operation.
