Abstract:
Provided is a method of performing communication by using a plurality of Radio Link Control (RLC) entities in a wireless communication system, the method including: receiving a packet duplication configuration for a radio bearer from a base station (BS) via a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message; configuring a plurality of RLC entities including one primary RLC entity and one or more secondary RLC entities which correspond to a preset Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity, based on the packet duplication configuration; and receiving a Medium Access Control Control Element (MAC CE) for controlling activation or deactivation of the one or more secondary RLC entities from among the plurality of configured RLC entities.

The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, a security and safety-related service, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for a terminal transmitting a data packet in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of: generating a data packet; determining whether to perform duplicate transmission for the data packet; and if it is determined to perform duplicate transmission for the data packet, generating at least two duplicate packets by duplicating the data packet, and transmitting the respective at least two duplicate packets to at least two base stations.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. A communication method of a terminal in a wireless communication system, which includes a first base station supporting first wireless communication and a second base station supporting second wireless communication, can comprise the steps of: performing data communication though the first wireless communication with the first base station; receiving, from the first or second base station, configuration information for second wireless communication connection; reporting, to the first or second base station, the result of measurement on at least one beamforming reference signal having been received from the second base station, on the basis of the configuration information; and establishing the second wireless communication connection with the second base station on the basis of the measurement result.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for synchronization between electronic devices and, more particularly, to a synchronization method and apparatus for wireless communication between electronic devices. As a synchronization method for an electronic device performing wireless communication with other electronic devices, the method may include: checking, when two or more reference synchronization signals are received within a preset period, whether the received reference synchronization signals are synchronized; determining, when the received reference synchronization signals are not synchronized, to operate as a device sending a reference synchronization signal of a class lower than or equal to that of the lowest class reference synchronization signal among the received reference synchronization signals; sending a reference synchronization signal at a preset time in a synchronization frame designed to preserve temporal orthogonality between classes; and performing synchronization between reference synchronization signals in cooperation with different devices having sent reference synchronization signals.
