    Abstract: PURPOSE:A solution f an acrylic polymer is subjected to spinning, while kept at a specific temperature, to maintain stable spinnability and yarn-forming properties, thus producing the titled precursor that can give carbon fibers with less yarn breakage and fluffing causing less fluctuation in woven fabric properties. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic polymer consisting of more than 98mol% of acrylonitrile is dissolved in an organic solvent to prepare a polymer solution of 15- 20wt% concentration and the spinning is carried out, while the solution is kept in a temperature range from the gel melting point (TG) to TG+30 deg.C.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Acrylic fibers, containing a specific amount of carboxylic acid groups and having a high shrinkage in boiling water and latent swelling property in water, and capable of giving a bulky spun polyester cloth, etc. by swelling a mixed spun fabric thereof with polyester fibers, heat-setting the fabric, and eluting the acrylic fibers. CONSTITUTION:Acrylonitrile is (co)polymerized in the presence of a vinyl monomer having a carboxylic acid group, e.g. (meth)acrylic acid, to give an acrylic polymer, which is then spun into the aimed special acrylic fibers having a carboxylic acid group content of 0.8-2.2mg equivalents/g, preferably 1.1-1.9mg equivalents/g, a shrinkage in boiling water >=30%, preferably >=45%, in aqueous solution of sodium carbonate (5g/l) and a shrinkage stress preferably >=30mg/ denier at this time. The fineness of the fibers is preferably 1.5-5 deniers. EFFECT:The elution is easily carried out with an aqueous solution of an alkali or hydrogen peroxide, and the scope of the application is very wide.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A mastersliver consisting of electrically conductive fibers bearing polyelectrolytes and nonconductive fibers is mixed with nonconductive fibers at a predetermined mixing ratio to produce said homogeneous mixed spun yarn with reduced defects as a yarn, high electrical conductivity and no problem in color tone. CONSTITUTION:Antistatic polymer includes polyelectrolytes and the resulting polymer is dispersed in a fiber-forming polymer in stripes. The master sliver is formed by mixing 10-60wt% of the electrically conductive fibers and 90-40wt% of nonconductive fibers and mixed with nonconductive fibers in the drawing step to reduce the mixing ratio of the conductive fibers to 0.1-5.0wt%. The resulting mixed spun yarn has reduced slubs and Uster unevenness.
