    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a washing machine for yarn, etc., capable of quickly removing a fuzz, etc., washed out and floating on the liquid surface, therefore, of improving the washing effect and of preventing inconvenience, e.g. yarn breakage or lap up to a roll in an after process. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a washing machine for yarn, equipped with a tank 4 for accommodating a liquid detergent, with guide rolls 8 to 12 set in the tank so as to continuously guide yarns, with an air nozzle 2 set to one side wall of the tank above the surface of the liquid detergent accommodated in the tank so as to blow out the compressed air toward the other side wall of the tank and with a floating material collecting area made on the other wall side of the tank so as to collect floating materials on the liquid detergent surface and guide them to the liquid detergent guiding outlet side.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent mechanical performances, small anisotropy of the molding, and among others, excellent thermal resistance and retention stability. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) 1 to 99 pts.wt. of a crystalline thermoplastic resin, and (B) 99 to 1 pts.wt. of a copolymer comprising (i) an unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester unit, (ii) a glutaric acid anhydride unit expressed by formula (1) (where R and R are the same or different and each represents hydrogen atom or a 1-5C alkyl group), or a copolymer having (iii) an unsaturated carboxylic acid unit in addition to the above units, or a copolymer having (iv) another vinylic monomer unit in addition to the above (i) (ii) or (i) (ii) (iii) units.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant resin composition the flame retardance of which is improved without detriment to the stiffness, impact strength, and heat resistance inherent in a thermoplastic resin by compounding a thermoplastic resin composition comprising a rubber-reinforced styrene resin and a non-liquid-crystalline aromatic polyester resin with a phosphorus-base flame retardant. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin composition is prepared by compounding (A) 1-99 wt.% rubber-reinforced styrene resin in which the intrinsic viscosity (30 deg.C) of the methyl ethyl ketone-soluble component is 0.25-0.60 dl/g with (B) 99-1 wt.% non- liquid-crystalline polyester resin represented by formula I and having an intrinsic viscosity (in N,N-dimethyleformamide, 30 deg.C) of 0.01-1.0 dl/g. The flame-retardant resin composition is prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin composition with 1-40 pts.wt. phosphorus-based flame retardant. In the formula, Ar1 is at least one kind of group selected from among groups represented by formulas II, III, or the like; and Ar2 is at least one kind of group selected from among groups represented by formulas IV, V, or the like. A fluororesin and/or a silicone compound in an amount of 0.01-3 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin composition) may be compounded into the flame-retardant resin composition.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition which is excellent in flame retardance, impact resistance, flowability, heat stability, etc., by compounding a polystyrene resin with an aromatic phosphate, a free-radical generator, and a silicone compound, each in a specified amount. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polystyrene resin, 1-30 pts.wt. aromatic phosphate of formula I, 0.01-3 pts.wt. free-radical generator of formula II having a one-minute half life at 200 deg.C or higher, 0.2-4 pts.wt. silicone compound comprising a silicone resin and/or a silicone oil, 0.1-5 pts.wt. phosphorus compound, a colorant, etc. The polystyrene resin is polystyrene, a styrene/acrylonitrile copolymer, a rubber-modified styrene resin, or the like. In formula I, X is, e.g. a group of formula III; R1 to R4 are each H or a 1-5C alkyl; Ar1 to Ar4 are each phenyl or the like; n is 0 or higher; and k+m is, e.g. 0-2. In formula II, X is H, a 1-10C alkyl, or the like.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition capable of providing an injection-molded product, which is imparted with flame retardant properties by use of a halogen- free flame retardant and, at the same time, is excellent in moisture and head resistances and residence stability. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin, and 1 to 100 pts.wt. of a phosphonate consisting of a phosphonic acid of formula I or II and ammonia or a triazine compound of formula III. In the formulas, R1 and R2 independently represent H, an alkyl, an aralkyl or a cycloalkyl; R3 to R6 independently represent H, an alkyl, an aralkyl, a cycloalkyl or CONH2; R7 represents NR3R4, NR5R6, H, an alkyl, an aralkyl, a cucloalkyl, NH2 or CONH2. The phosphonate should be the one whose solubility in water at 90 deg.C is 5% or below.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a flame retardant resin composition having high flame retardancy, mechanical characteristics, heat resistance and flowability, excellent outer appearance, bleed resistance in wet heat treatment, contamination resistance of contact points in wet heat treatment, scarcely causing deterioration in electric characteristics in wet heat treatment and generating only a small quantity of gas in molding. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin composition is prepared by including (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester resin, (B) 5-100 pts.wt. phenoxy resin (preferably having 1,000-100,000 number average molecular weight) and (C) 0.1-20 pts.wt. red phosphorus having 0.1-1,000 μS/cm electric conductivity. The electric conductivity is measured by adding 100 mL purified water to 5 g red phosphorus, by the extraction treatment at 121 deg.C for 100 h., by filtering the red phosphorus and by diluting the filtrate with purified water so as for the total volume to become 250 mL.

SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin (preferably a polystyrene-based resin, a modified polyphenylene oxide resin, a polyester resin, or the like), (B) 1-30 pts.wt. of an aromatic phosphate of formula I [X is a group of formula II (R1 to R4 are each H or a 1-5C alkyl) or the like; Ar1 to Ar4 are each phenyl or the like; (k) and (m) are each 0-2 and k+n is 0-2] and (C) 0.1-5 wt.% of a phosphorus compound of formula III (R9 to R10 are each an alkyl, an aryl, an alkoxy or the like) (preferably, a phosphorus compound of formula IV). Preferably, the composition is further mixed with a radical generator and a phenol-based resin. Consequently, a molding product of an arbitrary shape having excellent flame retardance, mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, moldability, processability, or the like, can be provided.

SOLUTION: This compsn. contains, based on 100 pts.wt. of (A) a polybutylene terephthalate resin, (B) 0.1-100 pts.wt. of (B-1) a polyethylene terephthalate resin and (B-2) a polycarbonate resin, and (C) 0.01-30 pts.wt. of red phosphorus with an electric conductivity of 0.1-1,000 μS/cm (wherein 100 ml of pure water is added to 5 g of the red phosphorus; the phosphorus is extracted for 100 hr at 121 deg.C; the phosphorus is then filtered, followed by dilution of the filtrate to 250 ml; and this extract is subjected to the electric conductivity measurement).
