    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the descent of a web on a receiving pan provided between a doffer and calender rolls of a carding machine and stably and well obtain a fiber bundle consisting of short fibers, by giving microvibration to the above- mentioned receiving pan. CONSTITUTION:A receiving pan 4 is first provided between a doffer 1 and calender rolls 5 of a carding machine to give microvibration to the above- mentioned receiving pan 4. Short fibers are then fed to the carding machine to strip a web from the doffer 1 by a fly comb 2 and descend the stripped web on the vibrating receiving pan 4. The resultant bundled web is then passed through the calender rolls 5 and contained in a can be a coiling device to afford the aimed fiber bundle. The microvibration is preferably given to the receiving pan 4 by a method for connecting the fly comb 2 to the receiving pan 4 with strings 3, etc., and the using reciprocating motion of the fly comb 2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fasciated spun yarn having high strength sufficient for practical purpose, by forming a continuous groove from the inlet port at one side of the slit of a suction tube, and placing the groove at the side of the metallic roller of the final draft roller based on the yarn axis. CONSTITUTION:The suction tube is fixed in a manner to face the groove of the tube opposite to the metallic roller 14. A negative pressure generator is connected to the outlet port 10, and the air stream sucked from the inlet port 9 is guided along the direction of the arrow 17, and is made to coincide with the direction 16 for the delivery of fleece. The free ends formed at both ends of the fleece are transferred by the suction air stream of the same direction as the delivery direction of the fleece, and are transferred along a sufficient distance separately from the twisted fiber bundle to form a free fiber.
