Abstract: In a four-seat coupe, it is inconvenient for a rear-seat occupant to get in/out of the vehicle while a front-seat occupant is seated. In the present invention, the length of each door of the four-seat coupe is set, so that the rear-seat occupant can get off/on the vehicle while the front-seat occupant is seated. The door is provided with detachable first opening/closing mechanisms at its front and rear end portions. The first opening/closing mechanism at the front end portion of the door is adapted to be released when the front-seat occupant gets off/on the vehicle to allow the first opening/closing mechanism at the rear end portion of the door to support the door so that opening/closing motion can be performed. Also, the first opening/closing mechanism at the rear end portion of the door is adapted to be released when the rear-seat occupant gets off/on the vehicle to allow the first opening/closing mechanism at the front end portion of the door to support the door so that opening/closing motion can be performed.

Abstract: The present invention achieves a communication speed close to a theoretical limitation with suppressing a computing amount and without increasing protocol overhead. In a multiuser MIMO wireless communication method according to the present invention, a receive weight matrix is determined based on a channel matrix, the channel matrix is updated by a product of the receive weight matrix and a channel matrix, a transmitted signal is generated in a ZF-DPC method based on the updated channel matrix and transmitted, and the receive weight matrix is multiplied with a received signal and then subjected to a DPC decoding. A method of determining a receive weight matrix is to take a conjugate transpose matrix of a left singular matrix obtained when subjecting the channel matrix to a singular value decomposition.

Abstract: In a mobile communication system using a code division multiple access (CDMA) method, spreading code detection and frame/slot timing synchronization (cell search) is conducted by using a long code masked symbol. The spreading factor of the long code masked symbol is set to a value lower than spreading factors of other ordinary symbols. As a result, it becomes possible to reduce the circuit scale and power dissipation of the mobile terminal and raise the speed of cell search.

Abstract: Transmission power relative to a propagation path having a variation in gain is controlled to increase communication channel capacity, and a data rate is controlled in accordance with the variation of the increased communication channel capacity. In order to increase the communication channel capacity, the transmission power is determined so that the sum of noise power (=received noise power/propagation path gain) converted into one at a transmitter and the transmission power becomes constant. As a result, contrary to the background art, the transmission power is controlled to be reduced when the propagation path gain decreases and to be increased when the propagation path gain increases.

Abstract: An error correction decoder possessing a decoding method with high error correction performance and capable of operating at a low operating frequency and on a reduced circuit scale. A decoding method based on the SOVA method for improving error correction performance and boosting reliability of the soft decision output by allowing branching of paths other than the survival path at trace-back is achieved by preparing a trace-back circuit for each state, and selecting an output from that output and survival state (survival state+difference of likelihood).

Abstract: A radio communication system for enabling control of a modulation scheme following variation in the propagation channel and control of a coding rate in a small amount of delay and arithmetic operation. In order to attain the object explained above, a transmitter station and a receiver station use in common the information of the maximum number of bits used for communication of each symbol. The transmitter station generates codeword by previously encoding the communication signal with the code having sufficient error correcting capability, assigns, to each symbol, the codeword to result in the maximum number of bits per symbol, and modulates and transmits the bits using the modulation scheme in which the number of bits per symbol is equal to or less than the maximum number of bits per symbol. Meanwhile, the receiver station demodulates, for each symbol, the bits with the modulation scheme, in which the number of bits per symbol is larger as the propagation channel quality is higher, among the modulation schemes in which the number of bits per symbol is less than the maximum number of bits per symbol and summarizes the demodulation results and executes the decoding process by adding the signal of zero likelihood to restore the shortage when the total sum of the number of bits per symbol in the modulation scheme used for the demodulation becomes equal to or larger than the predetermined value.
